    Hi all

Beautiful stitching going on and being completed as always. I do love seeing what everyone is doing.

No stitching been done by me since New Yearas I have been busy taking down decorations, shopping, cleaning and ironing getting us all ready for going back to school, nursery and work on Monday.

Hopefully I will get some stitching done next week.

Totally off topic...but your cat looks almost identical to mine :D:rotfl::T

Thanks. :) I like your gingerbread man clips.
Can't believe when that pic was taken, Blossom wasn't even a year old. What's your cat called?

    Afternoon all

Haven't been stitching much this week, things are a bit hectic at work and it's the anniversary of my dads passing so not really up to much when I get home.

Thought I'd posted these updates already sorry.

The kids chose 'Milly' :happyhear We got her from the cat rescue centre in August, she was a year old then and she is great, not trouble at all

Maria - I can't take the credit for the coasters, it was FOS's idea, I just quoted her :o

Erics Mum - The R&R frame that nmm mentions is different from the easyclip frame linked to. I have had the R&R lap frame for about 5 years now, I love it, it is so easy to use. (and it has been well used!):rotfl:

pm2326 - (((hugs))) I like the muted colours on the Elvis pic, it's coming along nicely.

Oh, that's so strange! Blossom's mum is called Millie. Don't know what her real name was and when she went to the shelter they renamed her Jezebel (!) because there was already a Milly/Millie there. If you didn't live so far away, I'd wonder if you adopted Blossom's mum. We suspect she was very young when we found her too.

Thanks both, looks unanimous. I'm being a bit dim here but do I need a frame the same size as my fabric plus a bit of fabric to fold over and clip ? What if the fabric is longer but not as wide - how does this work ? Do you have several frames in diff sizes

    Thanks again

    EM
Just get the size you are most comfortable with, I have the 11" square one and fold the excess fabric at the edges. Louise has the lap frame version which has 2 sizes. If you go here clicky you can see the different sizes available.

  • Kezbabybabe. Love dictionary of tea. Will you be doing any xs for your wedding?
As much as I would love to, there won't be enough time to get any completed. :o It's funny cos I would be the one to do a sampler for best friends, but don't have anyone that cross-stitches to do one for me! So will end up doing one of my own, one day.

Mine is very wide, so there is a gap on either side of the fabric, however this doesn't cause an issue with the tension. I opted for a much wider frame, so that it was flexible moving forward, as my previous frame needed to have the fabric folded over all the time and it was difficult to get the tension fully.

    Sunday Update:
All the cross-stitching done for Oddit-tea, hoping to get the back-stitching done tonight, but Dancing on Ice is being distracting...

FOS - I'm glad the card managed to fit inside a coaster as well. I might have a go at doing that with the two that I now have.

PM2326 - Elvis is coming along really well. Is this the one that's needed for March?

Ruth - your Reindeer from last year is really cute.

FE - I have the Samsung Galaxy and subscribe to the online version of Just Cross Stitch (the American magazine). I'm really pleased with the subscription as it was only just over £12 for twelve months subscription and 2 years of back magazines. You can't mark the squares off as you stitch but I have stitched using the chart on screen and you can also print off the page that you need. If you manage to find an Android app that allows you to cross the pattern off as you go I'd be grateful if you'd post the details, the only one I've found is an iPad app.

No stitching here since before Christmas as I just haven't had the time or inclination. I have, however, knitted myself a waistcoat. Just need to sew it up now. Hopefully will get some cross stitch done in the next few days - back to the Rock, Scissors etc.

I've sorted my threads out this afternoon (Fr Christmas promised to top me up to a full set :D). I have 3 boxes full of thread but I have so many duplicates it's unreal, not quite sure why I have so many. I need 150 colours to make a full set   Can anyone recommend someone cheap and reliable to get them from please.

Kez - Love your Dictionary of Tea. I really like these designs and find they also make lovely small designs for cards. Congratulations on your forthcoming wedding. You could always plan a design for your 1st Anniversary!!
