Hi all,
fos - thanks for the heads up about the sale at sewandso. I looked but I didn't buy :A;)
sweetcarer - lovely sampler, is that the final one?
Trying to post an update pic of the blackwork sampler, but the page keeps crashing  Anyway, I'm at least 75% there now so shouldn't be long before I can start something shiny and new. Having said that, I've really enjoyed stitching this one, the colours are lovely and it's nice to complete a section and then move on to another.
Take care all

Nice try fos in getting me to break my New Years Resolution. I will confess I did look but did not buy. I think I put some thread heaven into my basket but that is as far as it got. (sitting here with smug look on my face)
Made a little bit more progress with DMC Family Tree tonight but have put it away for now as we are just about ready to eat (I'm starving) and then I think I am going to be a total couch potato tonight and watch tv. Looking forward to Birds of a Feather.
sweetcarer - love Autumn Sampler. Looking forward to seeing your blue sampler too.
Take care everyone.

Is this the type of thing you had in mind?
That one looks lovely - where is it from?
Happy New Year to everyone, we had family over till 4am on New years morning, a good time was had by all then everyone was round to my mums for the traditional home made soup and steak pie dinner that we have every year on the first
I have been working away on a stitching sampler in the evenings since I last posted - it's coming along nicely.
I haven't bought ANYTHING in the sales, stash or otherwise  There are some DMC threads I need and I need more white aida and evenweave but I'm not in a mad rush for any of them.
Spent this evening taking down all the decorations. My little girl stood in front of the tree with her arms outstretched to block it and said that we really need to keep it up longer!!:rotfl:Cross Stitch Cafe member No. 32012 170-194 2013 195-207.Hello Kitty ballerina 208.AVA 209.OLIVIA 210.ELLA 211.CARLA 212.LOUISE 213.CHARLEY 214.Mother & Child 215.Stop Faffing Completed 2014 216.Stitchers Sampler. 217.Let Them Be Small 218.Keep Calm 219. Hi everyone, sweetcarer - lovely sampler, is that the final one?
Yes, its the final one. I hope to take a group photo - need to find camera and get some frames and do a group shot but still get a group shot of them without frames - going to ask hubby to take picture -he is better than me at taking photos.
Below is a picture of the 2013 calendars I did - going to do the 2014 version for the cover my journal. I know a few of us here suffer from the downs - I kept a journal before and it seemed to help a bit, so thought I try it again.
Link to this years free pattern - Kell the designer does quite amazing designs

Well done coxy and beg for not adding to your stash.
I wasn't quite as good but I had kept some of my Xmas money back in case there was anything in their sale. For a number of years I have been collecting the Victoria Sampler alphabet sampler charts and accessory packs. There are 24 in total and they are expensive so I have been acquiring them in sales, on auction sites etc as I would love to do all of them on a single piece of fabric ( a retirement project) There were 2 charts and 2 acc packs I didn't have which were reduced by 50% so I bought those plus (not in the sale) a red hearts bellpull hanger which will be used to display my Stitcher's 12 days of Christmas
Just have to finish the stitching now .....0 -
