Evening all - finally got some pics done

I finished Mother and Child in time for Christmas, but didn't get a chance to get a frame:

The little bits of festive stitching I did in the week before Christmas

Pieces I have done since Christmas:

Saw these Breast Cancer Angels on Pinterest, but the link wasn't working so I copied them and made my own chart:

Louise - some wonderful makes from you again. Younare so productive you put me to shame. I love the breast cancer angels, off to trawl the net for them now. How big are they? Could they make coasters or keyrings for my local hospice shopmto sell I wonder.

  • Good morning everyone. Back to wind and rain today after a lovely bright and calm day yesterday.
Hope no one has been affected by the flooding etc. it must be heartbreaking for those families. Years ago we lost power on Christmas Eve and it wasn't back until Christmas Day 6 pm Luckily we were going to parents for the day so the only thing we had to deal with was a freezer full of defrosted food
Spent a few delightful hours yesterday sorting through my stash for projects for 2014 I want to focus on a mix of UFOs to complete and using some of my existing stash though I will be flexible as there are bound to be some tempting charts in next year's magazines

pmlooking forward to seeing progress on Elvis

jcs lovely thought to share some charts in exchange for a donation. Love the birth sampler. One of my projects for next year is a wedding sampler by the Historical Sampler Co. I love their designs. You must stitch the EB purchase. It was meant to be

Maria Don't forget to take a photo of the new home card :D

coxy the 2 stitchy items I got for Xmas were bought by me at the request of the gifters. (Dictionary of Technology and Twisted Band Sampler). Over the years I've had some lovely stitchy gifts and also some horrors which I've had to dispose of tactfully

    Louise. Beautiful work

ailsb. This site http://www.artecy.com/free.html has free downloads for ribbons in a couple of sizes to which you could add the angel outline

    Have a good day everyone
  • Almost finish so picture will follow shortly flowers

    Louise beautiful as always

I couldn't find an original one, pinterest said the link was unsafe so I just left it. I can scan the chart I made for you if you don't have any better luck.

The smaller one would make a good coaster, but probably too bog for a keyring :)

  • Mrs M - sounds as though the secret santa pressie was spot on for you.

JCS1 - loving the birth sampler update. The colours are gorgeous. Definitely stitch new pic for your Mum - would love to see the look on her face when you presented it to her. :rotfl:

maria - good luck with new home card.

Coxy - DS said he wanted to get me a cross stitch kit for xmas and did I want him to pick one or was there something I was looking for in particular. Well, I didn't know whether to leave the choice to him or give him a few pointers. ;). So to play it safe, I gave him a little list and said I would like any one of them and I ended up with two :j

Louise - Madonna looks gorgeous as well as all your other stitches. How did you manage stitching the week before xmas  Breast cancer ribbons/angels would be great for anyone fundraising.

No stitching for me so far but I have had a peep in at the DMC Family Tree kit. Might get hubby to copy chart for me this afternoon and I may well make a start on it very soon. :D

    Take care everyone

Has anyone decided on any new year's resolutions? I have to be honest and say that I hate new year but it has to be suffered (in the nicest possible way) and it is kind of a tradition to take time out and think about what one wants to achieve in the coming year....

Mine are the usual lose weight, have more money in the bank and stop sweating the small stuff but likewise, I'd like to find more time for my hobbies and just in general enjoy life.
