Many thanks mrs-moneypenny. I really liked working on it too, such an easy project.
nmm, the fur looks amazing. 6 pages is still great if you have been stitching others in between. I don't think anyone will beat Louise :rotfl:
Louise I love the mermaid the background looks amazing.Cute turtles too
Working on a thank-you card at the moment then back to the JE christmas angel.
Have a great weekend all :T0 -
b_e_g - Can't wait to see a pic of Sleeping Beauty :T
JCS1 - I don't think that cat feels ANY guilt at all looking at the expression there :rotfl:
I started the Little Mermaid from WOXS last Friday and here she is.....
I used marbled blue fabric and half stitched the sea instead of using whole stitches. I don't think it has been detrimental to the overall finish. I also changed her eyes as I thought the original looked a bit alien-like
*Edit: The top of the picture looks a bit squint, it's actually fine, it was just taken at a bad angle to avoid shadow
I think your version looks better than the original0 -

Hi everyone,
LOVING all the pics. Have spent a few hours this week stitching the French flower shop. Not as much stitching time as the rest of you but have worked 3 days and was too pooped to do any on those nights, so bear with me.... pics to follow.
winnie - so sorry to hear about your friend, sending (((hugs)))
Louise - mermaid looks fab, and thanks for the review of the mag, don't tend to buy them as too many WIPs in my stash already
No stitching for me today as off to a friends for a birthday BBQ. Enjoy your day everyone.

Well here she is at last :j:j:j. She is actually framed but each time we have tried to take a pic its showing all the bloomin reflections. Hubby has suggested we remove the glass and do it but I am very reluctant to disturb anything. Any ideas on how to avoid this would be greatly appreciated.
If removing glass is only option I might give it a go as a last resort as I would love to share the finished picture with you all.
My friend has said that it should be hung downstairs and not stuck up in the bedroom - will have a think about that one.
Oh well it looks as though it's back to Let's Do Wine now .
Pap - love the french theme. Has your sis received the heart yet??
Coxy - don't know whether I've said 'hi' yet as things have been a bit hectic over the last few weeks. Welcome anyway and look forward to seeing update of your flower shop.
Hope you are all enjoying the sunshine.

BEG - she's beautiful, the mount and frame really set her off. I agree you need to let others see her and not hide her in your bedroom.
Have lost my voice and eyes hurt, bl**dy pollen. Have got Dad's postponed 80th party tomorrow so have marzipaned and iced his cake and made 3 dozen cup cakes, all whilst feeling rough. Never mind it will be worth it. It's 4 months tomorrow since his birthday so we are wishingnhim a hapoy 80 1/3 birthday.Cross Stitch Cafe Member #59 :j
