morning all
hope all are well
have an admission to make was naughty and added to my stash yesterday
some one had a few cross stitch items in a holdall, i asked how much the felicity wishes fariy complete kit was (£1) Dh said you my as well ask how much for the lot its all things you'll use. guy selling it said £10 including the bag. while i was looking throgh what else there was he changed and said £8 and take it all away now. DH had apid before id finished looking. LOL think its a real bargain,
i got a lapman holdall, felicity wishes wishful thinking kit, a cushion kit with flowers and butterflies on by bucillaa thats got a printed panel in, bathtime bubbles kit (teddies in a bath) a winnie the pooh and tigger christmas card kit, a beautiffully cute little tiger cub kit - that has been started on too small a piece of adia and sadly the original pattern marked off on with felt pen but i can finish it with out the greenery around it and perhaps make it into a bag panel. a sheet of christmas charts a big bag on DN threads and two othewr bags of threads on dmc bows or wound onto bobbins but sadly these havent been marked with their code numbers so im not sure what they are but they can be used for little bits.
all for £8 cant believe the value.
i started finishing the tiger cub last night it is so cute.
hope all are well

Have actually got Lets Do Wine out this morning and did a few stitches. Must admit I'm still not feeling the love for it.but I am sticking with it now until its complete.
WOCS has dropped through the letterbox today but I am NOT opening it until I have stitched for at one hour later (that's my reward).

Sorry not been around well I have been keeping up to date but not posting. Ive been setting a blog up and its all up and running now. Spent the day at Dovedale yesterday and had a great day if any of you are close its well worth a visit and cost all of £1.50 and three ice creams ....very mse. took our dog ...Rowley the beagel too and he loved it.I'm trying so hard to be thrifty, but it doesn't come naturally. You lot are an inspiration!JUST LOVES THE O/S BOARD0 -
Thanks winnie - I think I started it around May/June 2012, put it away in Aug 2012 and then brought her out again in the New Year and it has been on and off since. I really enjoyed stitching her and really once you were settled down at it, it was quite easy especially with it being on 11ct aida - biggest problem was remembering to use 3 strands. :rotfl:
I know this probably goes against all the suggestions (sorry) but she is hanging in the bedroom. We have tried her in different places downstairs and she didn't look right down there. I suppose I did choose the design specifically for there so perhaps thats the reason.
Having a stressful pm due to BT - aaarrrggghhhhh

Noticed in your signature you're reading Whistling for Elephants. I read this a couple of years ago and thoroughly enjoyed it.
I'm working on my Aladdin Sane chart now. Been at if for two weeks and about a third done. Really pleased with my 99p ebay purchase!Cross Stitch Cafe Member Number 44:rudolf:Cross Stitch Is For Life Not Just For Christmas :rudolf:0 -
WOXS was also waiting for me. Am I imagining it or has the free kit been given away before?
I haven't really looked at the mag yet (I always flick to next month's pages first?!) and next month looks good :rotfl:0
