I am such a lovely mood this morning - got a lovely wee message in facebook to say I won a competition with Northen Experessions - the company who do the learning sampler - I have won 3 downloads of their designs - so far I have can think of two off hand - need to think of another - might ask her as she is always designing and leave the third one when she brings out the next amazing one.
So the two designs
The twisted band sampler
Celtic Snow
Don't know when I will be doing them but they will go on the to do list.
Oh, well done on winning these two - they are both gorgeous!
I saw the band sampler last time you mentioned it and I thought then how unusual it was. I may have to get it....although I've never done anything other than cross stitch it must come with instructions?
Celtic snow is lovely too - I think the fabric that sample is stitched on makes it.
I have finally finished page 8 of the monochrome monstrosity and am onto page 9. I was going to do a bit more this weekend, but it sort of slipped by with no stitching done.
I haven't even put my Christmas tree up yet! (I have done all the present buying though:rotfl:)0 -
Sweetcarer - your summer sampler is growing quickly. The eyelet on your other one is great. Congratulations on the win of the downloads, I love the diagonal sampler.
Going to the post office first thing to post my exchange piece. Need to check the weight so couldn't just pop innletter box.
No stitching for me for a few days. My dads not well so any spare time has ben spent with him. He haß gall stones whihc need operating on but they cant operate as his gall bladder is adhered to his liver and its too dangerous. Dads convinced he has a blockage in his bowel and is going to call tne doctirs when hey open at 8.30. He's staying witb my sister this time (was with me for 8 weeks earlier in the year) so when I'm there looking after him I can't get anyhing done here. Sorry to moan but I'm a bit stressed over him at the moment.
oh well better get up, washed and dressed now before the madness starts.Cross Stitch Cafe Member #59 :j

There are some amazing pics on there. I don't know if Mrs Milkybar Kid comes into the Cafe but she has done some fantastic work. Well done everyone. :T
That's it for now time to get ready.

I think she posted a while back but she doesn't seem to come in often. Mind you, the rate she stitches I'd think she was too busy! :rotfl:Some of the things she does are exquisite - I look at them enviously and I'd love to try one of the mandalas, but they're an awful lot more complex than cross stitch!
Her and Louise between them could be joint "Fastest Stitchers in the West".0 -

Naughty me - two posts in one day.
I have been stitching away with my learning sampler and completed my first diamond eyelet over 10 threads and thought I would share it with you all.
Sorry for the quality of photo - hubby bless is having a wee nap and I didn't want to disturb him with the flash.
Oh Happy St Andrews holiday tomorrow to those who have it. (St Andrews was yesterday).
Kind wishes,
sweetcarer
PS The diamond eyelet is the wee one in the middle.
Pleased to see about your win. :T Can you remind me of the details of the designer / details of her facebook page as I am wondering about getting a subscription for the learning sampler or similar for a friend :j0 -
