fos - I want to do some xs for someone else rather than just because I like it so I thought this would be good opportunity. The bride is crafty and will appreciate the time and effort put into it. I know she will display it too but maybe not in a public room if she thinks it too twee. The smaller sampler is perfect as it's not going to cost as much as I wasn't planning the xs to replace a present, just as a wee extra. If I decide it's too twee when I've stitched ill just keep for someone else (before I stitch names and dates obviously:D). I think it will be a handy chart to have on file too. That was a long day you had:eek:, hope the 50th doesn't involve too much prep for you.

Can't wait to see everyone's exchange pieces! I'm wishing I'd joined in now. I'll be there with bells on next year, promise.

Ruth_honey - I just ordered the chart so that I could choose fabric, colours myself. I may go with the designated ones, will decide once I've seen chart. Yes :T it is the lush face mask (I'm not a lush called Ayesha honestly lol :D). You're obviously another lush fan lol. I am a bit more restrained these days as don't often get to visit a store. I did have another username until a couple of years ago but a work colleague worked out it was me and mocked some of my posts so I decided to change it and it was the first username I thought of when requesting a change.

b_e_g. - I've looked at Pinterest a couple if times, but don't quite 'get it' yet.....maybe that's not a bad thing lol, I already have too many things gobbling my time. Hope your friend is doing a bit better and your aunt manages to trace her brother. It is heartbreaking watching the news reports. 12 Days looks fab! Hope you're pleased with it.

As for me, I've done a bit more stitching on SB. Took it off frame which was a bit better but I've asked my mum to buy me the snap lap frame for Xmas as I need something with a bit more structure than just the aida on its own and the size of that frame will be much easier to work with, I think, than the wooden one I was using. Have decided though, to leave SB for the time being as I'm not happy with the thread. It knots, tangles and breaks when I'm separating the threads, it is more matte than DMC, the stitches don't look neat in and the white looks dirty when stitched. May come back to it later as I do love the picture but would use DMC threads instead. Bet everyone's breathing a sign of relief that the saga of Ayeshalush's SB is over for the time being:o.

I don't think I fully 'get it' yet - just muddling along. Received a notification today to say that someone was 'following me' - oh really I thought - is that good :o

Re the threads in SB - I think there were a few 'not quite whites' in the pack but I think they just give the shadows/folds in her dress. I didn't have too many problems with the threads either so maybe we have got them from a different supplier. Hope you get it back out one day and give it another go. :)

    Hi,everyone,
    B.e.g
12 days looks really good, the figures on bottom row are right near the edge when I graphed mine out,I thought I had counted wrong because I didn't think they would be so close, now I've seen it done I wasn't out at all.
    It just looks stunning.
I have got to stop going on Pinterest as hours can go pass and I find I haven't done a thing,it's so addictive

I think it tells you to turn under 1.5 cms all the way around - I could only turn under 3 squares of aida at the top and bottom. I hand tacked it before pinning it onto the felt - this seemed to hold it much better.

Another problem that I had was that my aida was not square - I got around this by cutting the felt 'out of square' so that it matched the aida. To stop the felt from pulling and creasing when it was hung, I lined the back with interfacing which seems to have done the trick :)

    Good luck

Now completed two pieces that could be used for the exchange. Which to use????

Been on Pinterest and found the following. http://www.pinterest.com/pin/128211920611381734/. Do you think it would be okay to stitch in memory of Soulie? Still not sure what we are doing with them, does anyone have an address to send them to and a real name?

BEG - your 12 days of Christmas is lovely.

It did cross my mind that the 'dirty' threads would just add to the shading. Will maybe give it another go once I get my frame at Xmas. If I do a bit more that has some other colours it might give me a better idea how it will turn out.

Was going to say I was jealous but don't think I could work with the strong scent all day. Would give me a headache. Would love the discount though lol. I can imagine stocktakes wouldn't be fun. My absolute favourite is Avobath. Need to visit a Lush shop soon methinks lol.

That is a lovely design for Soulie and includes both a heart and a candle.

    Soulie tribute details

Please stitch anything you wish, candle, heart, winnie the pooh or anything else you feel is appropriate.

A flickr group has been set up to post pictures on, http://www.flickr.com/groups/2410727@N23/ We will then link these to her facebook page.

I do have funeral directors details, so we could send via them if you wish.

Some brief details - Joanna, aged just 35. She had one son
