    Hi everyone,

Flat Eric - good idea about doing some fundraising in Soulie's memory. I would be happy to contribute towards this.

I have this weekend finished an Advent Panel that I bought 2 years ago. I am no seamstress (much to my DMums disappointment) but I have completed it to the best of my ability :o I have put 2 celebration chocs in each pocket - one each for DH and I - which is why it looks bumpy! The 3 children are still okay with D/Milk advent calendars. All I need now is a piece of dowel to hold the shape once its hung up, and a D ring hook for the top. Picture is a bit rubbish (sorry).

    Hope everyone is keeping well.

More small cross stitching for the Guides tonight. Bought some more aperture cards and festive cards in HC today. Will take pictures once all complete and ready to sell.

Oh, I love it, Coxy!!! Looks fantastic.

My sewing skills are rubbish-I can just about sew on a button, but I'd love to be able to make my stitching into things like that. I've actually just bought a book from Amazon (The Sewing Book) which arrived today and is huge! It was only £5 (RRP £25) so a total bargain and hopefully I'll be able to do a bit more than replacing buttons soon.

Have made myself a gingerbread latte and am going to have a flick through it now. Need to chill out after having some idiot on the school run harassing me because I didn't pull away fast enough for him at a junction. Moron. It's wet. I'm on a motorbike and can't see great through my rain spattered visor that well. Plus it's a very dodgy junction with huge vans parked too close to the corners. Give me a second will you!!! Grr!!! And breathe...

Grr to impatient drivers Ruth I'm afraid I'm one of those that if you get impatient or try to bully me into something I will go even slower.

Been doing my placement at school all day, home for a quick change then of to rainbows just got home, doing homework with the imps now, hubby is cook chinesse so will eat that, quick dip in the bath and will hopefully have sewing in hand by half 7 !

Oh Ruth tell me more about gingerbread lattes!

Nescaf! menu range of instant sachets. They are £2.99 a pack, but think Waitrose had them on offer. 2 packs for £3, I believe.

Edited to add: not on offer there anymore, according to my supermarket. 3 for 2 in tesco at the moment, though. They're very yummy.

  • Coxy11, that is lovely. I made my girls one each when they were about 1 & 2 and even thought the eldest is 18 this week she still insists on the advent calendar being used. This year I have treated them to the Boots advent calendar but they still want the home made one's down!

I am sure your advent calendar will be loved for many years :D
  • Coxy, that is really lovely

Ruth your safety is far more important than some idiot getting to the next set of red traffic lights before everyone else. hes a moron like you said
im glad you are home safe enjoy your latte you deserve it.

  • lol I do 2 things -
    1. Search for cross stitch kits ending soonest, hoping to get a bargain
    2. Search for kits with the lowest starting price and hope no one else bids on them

(un)fortunately I seem to have won quite a lot recently, far too many xmas cards!

ah well, cant beat a bargain!
