12 Days of Xmas - stitching and making up is complete (phew). Now I just have to spray dowel and buy some chord. Have bought some chain but I am unsure which will look best. I will get to the shops tomorrow so hopefully a pic may appear later in the week. :D The trouble I had trying to get everything to work out with the dodgy aida has had me pulling my hair out for most of the day. Think we have got it so that it looks reasonable. :)

Exchange Piece - cross stitching finished. Just bs and making up to do now.

Think I might just do a few more cards now till after xmas when I am going to have a big sort out of all my threads.

    Take care everyone

  • No cross stitch today, but I made a teddy owl with the youngest imp today, I did the sewing he did the supervising and stuffing, he fell in love with it and called it Trevor so it has now been claimed by him! Made some sequin ball balls with Mia imp as well today but we are runing out of pins so I shall ave to go and get some more so we can finish them . Love to all x

    Evening ladies

So sorry to hear the news about soulie, must be so distressing for her family.

I came on to do my normal weekly update, hope no-one minds if I still post my pic. This will be the last update for panda as he should be finished this week. I'll post another when he's framed, which should be beginning of December.

Still working on exchange piece but down to the last colour so I can sit and stitch while watching tv now without worrying I'm going wrong somewhere!

Is it candles only for Soulie - I'm struggling too. :( Did I imagine it or did someone mention hearts too?

I mentioned hearts. Not seen so many candle charts-well, there are some Christmas ones-but loads of heart charts. All different styles. I think anything we stitch would be well received by Soulie's family, though.

I think I managed about 5 stitches yesterday before I got distracted. I did intend to sit down again but it never happened as I got caught up with boring stuff like finishing dinner for family coming round/getting washing dry/making the bed/putting clothes away/lots of dishes to be washed etc. I'm not sure where the time went. Before I knew it, it was 9pm/time for homeland and then bed. I was even too tired to stay up for family guy!

I'm hoping to do some stitching today and listen to my audio book (Linwood Barclay - Tap on the Window). :o

I hope everyone has a good day - its damp/cold and wet here so I don't intend to venture out.

It would be lovely to stitch for soulie and one idea I had would be to raffle it off for a suitable cause (my preference is something pooh/tigger/eeyore related as I know she was a fan) but I'm not sure how well this would be received - by this I mean people just don't want to pay anything :( A mad idea that has just occurred to me though is this.....

Would anyone be interested in taking part in the Race for Life 5k event next year? They take place all over the country so there is bound to be one close enough. What is good about the event is that you can walk it if you wish which means for those who hate running (me!) then you don't have to do lots of training etc.

We could have one Just Giving page for us all to raise money on behalf of the mse cafe? Plus we could add our stitchy efforts to the updates page :) What do you all think?
