Hi all,
I wish my trip back to the cafe could be on a better note but unfortunately the circumstances I have returned are hard for me to post and will affect a few of you the same.
Many of you will know Soulie. You will remember how we all helped her when the news of her brother hit herself and family and how she has bravely battled in and out of hospital in the last year.
You have been wondering on her whereabouts (I do keep an eye on you you know even if I don't post any more, the cafe is still my baby).
I am very sad to post that she has sadly lost her long battle. I know you'll all want to join us in paying respects to her and her family during this time.
My initial idea was to send stitched candles in her memory, however I am unsure how this will be received. My suggestion now is therefore to ask anyone who wishes to to stitch a candle in her memory. Magscat could you set up a flikr group/ subgroup where the photo's could be uploaded to?
sweetcarer I know you have access to her facebook profile. Perhaps you could share the tribute on there and we will post it on the MSE facebook page??
Again apologies for being the barer of bad news (and sorry for those who feel this was not my place to post, I don't wish to upset anyone unnecessarily or step on toes).loves how my "I've been censored" signature has been censored. LOL. Happy Christmas. :xmastree:0 -
What sad news about Soulie, my heart goes out to her family and friends ((hugs)) 2 losses in such a short space of time
Chicky, you are always welcome at the caf!, can't we all just kiss and make up :kisses3:

Genuinely gutted to hear this. Should have expected bad news when she stopped posting again, but you always tend to hope for the best.
Can't begin to imagine what her poor parents are going through, losing two children so closely together, it's just heartbreaking

As I said on the other page - I am shocked.
Count me in on any candle-type tribute though. Her poor familyxxx

Oh no. Such horrible news. Her poor family must be devastated.
Chicky, your idea is lovely and I'm sure her family will appreciate it. I had a thought, though-and feel free to stick with the candle idea if you think it's better-about sending stitched hearts? Sending 'love' from all her friends in the cafe. Just an idea...Cross Stitch Cafe Monthly Challenge Member #27
