Hello girls,
Thank you all for your kind wishes re: my mum. I had a half day yesterday - was at doctors - so decided to go and see her afterwards.
Turns out - the new meds she was on for her parkinsons was over prescribed. Instead of taking one a day - they gave her 2 twice a day - no wonder she wasn't right. She asked me last night to help her phone her sister and I said whats the number (even tho I know it off by heart) and she was able to tell me first go - so I think she will get better.
Good idea about using beads instead of french knots - might use this myself for the exchange. I am using plastic canvas and I don't think french knots would work so will use some beads I have.
Well off to check on in FB and then have something to eat before doing some more stitching.
Keep well everyone

Its me with BD and I promise you will all see eyes before the year is out
Ayeshalush is stuck with SB (sleeping beauty) on a dodgy frame.
Just trying out evenweave for the first time and I love it, it was a bit strange at first going over 2 squares but I like the finished result better. It didn't help that its a wee snowman design so stitching white on whiteI bought a massive piece of 18 ct aida for my HAED design but I think i'll swap it for evenweave and do 1 over 1 as stated, more chance of finishing it this lifetime :rotfl:

Been busy sorting my Christmas lists today instead of stitching
ToysRUs are having a 20% weekend so going to buy the last few bits of kiddies stuff then. :money:
Stitching planned tonight though!:T
Just lost a huge post twice , so I'll post individual answers.
Smyths toys also have 20% off at moment too and their prices are usually pretty good to start with. Not sure if it's just online or not.

mrs-moneypenny - good to hear not all the threads were dodgy. It's nmm that's doing DB ( I wish it was mine lol). I'm attempting the same Sleeping Beauty that blue_eyed_girl posted pictures of a little while ago.

nmm - good to hear your opinion of evenweave. I haven't tried it yet and would prob have avoided it but now I've read your positive experience with it I may give it a try in the future.
How about swapping your BD for my SB? I'll finish his eyes and you could finish mine. Thought not lol, I've only managed about 40 stitches so far!

My beautiful male border collie who sleeps behind my chair (generally upside down with legs in the air and his tongue hanging out) has just broken the adaptor to my stitching light by pulling it out and breaking the pin so no more stitching for me tonight  I absolutely adore him but he is a complete numpty sometimes, having borders is a lot like having a toddler around, they need constant supervision or will find some kind of mischief to get into :rotfl:
...........and I placed the stocking stitching on my foot stall and the cat sat on it, maybe I should stitch under the stairs where no one can find me or try and wreck my stitching!0
