salford girl - you've been a busy bee. I think WtP looks fine without the water. Tatty Ted looks really cute and I read the writing without any trouble. Love the xmas cards too - I'm sure gran will be over the moon with the meerkats. Re crease/folds in aida - I try to avoid buying fabric in the packets as I have found the folds in those virtually impossible to remove. When I have bought fabric online off the roll and it has been folded for the post, these lines have usually come out by pressing with an ironing cloth and the iron set to steam. If anyone has any tips on how to remove the firm fold lines I would be very interested to hear them. I haven't used a professional framer yet. DH seems to be coping with framing for me atm and he isn't too expensive
Mrs MP - great idea to check to see if there is a local stitching group to find any info on framers.
nmm - great BD update. Still no mag arrived here for me today. I think it is in the shops for 7th so if I haven't got it by then I think I will give them a nudge.

I always seem to make do with ironing the pattern and then cutting it down to fit a frame I have bought?
It has always seemed to work so far, but not sure if using a professional framer would be better, how much do they tend to charge?
I do if it's a larger piece, or if it's for a gift - only downside is he doesn't lace them so I can't get any really big stuff done which is a pity. V Cheap though because of that (and I wouldn't lace my own stuff anyway) most pieces have ben around £25-£35
Small things I frame myself, I find if I buy a frame that has a mount included, I looks a bit more 'finished' if that makes sense?Cross Stitch Cafe member No. 32012 170-194 2013 195-207.Hello Kitty ballerina 208.AVA 209.OLIVIA 210.ELLA 211.CARLA 212.LOUISE 213.CHARLEY 214.Mother & Child 215.Stop Faffing Completed 2014 216.Stitchers Sampler. 217.Let Them Be Small 218.Keep Calm 219. So far I have completed 2 out of the 6 requested names- just about to make a start on 'Ella'
I have a slight problem thinking about what designs could be suitable for 9, 13 and 14 year old girls. They are a bit old for fairies and mermaids. ;-/ Waiting to hear back about what hobbies they are into, so hopefully I can find something that isn't too babyish.Cross Stitch Cafe member No. 32012 170-194 2013 195-207.Hello Kitty ballerina 208.AVA 209.OLIVIA 210.ELLA 211.CARLA 212.LOUISE 213.CHARLEY 214.Mother & Child 215.Stop Faffing Completed 2014 216.Stitchers Sampler. 217.Let Them Be Small 218.Keep Calm 219. *Louise*, I'll have a look through some mags and see if anything is suitable
Finished the free Boofle kit that came with card shop issue 93. Took about 6 hours total and a couple of the French knots went squiffy but he's not bad

Loving all the updates, Booful is lovely.
I wanted to do a smaller Christmas design and found this free chart, I have uploaded a picture and whilst I think the snowman is cute, I think the eyes may be a little too big or maybe even the wrong colour, what do you think?

nmm - love Boofle - he is definitely on my to do list after the exchange piece.
mos - love the colourful snowman. I don't think his eyes look so bad but if you are not happy with them it might be worth re-doing them - maybe wrap the thread around one less time if that makes sense
Had hoped to do some stitching tonight but I feel absolutely 'cream crackered'.
Hope everyone is well.

PS Forgot to add I bought the dowel, some gold spray (from £land :money:) and some gold chain for the 12 Days hanging. Hope I will be able to have a go at making it up soon.SPC NO 041STARTED SW 04/14 - TARGET 05/16 - TOTAL LOSS 10ST 3.5LBS :dance:0
