I had never thought of looking on pinterest for charts. I feel a wasted evening coming on!
No stitching done for a couple of weeks, too busy working and visiting my grandson (that still feels funny to say!)
Thanks to everyone for all the good wishes. I have been reading all the posts and admiring everybody's stitching even though I haven't been posting.

That snowman is lovely - I really like the pine fronds for hands - unusual :)

Have you got any tiny black seed beads to try for his eyes? I always use seed beads instead of French knots. Mainly because I cannot, however hard I try, master the damn French knots.... :rotfl:

Thank you, I love his hands too :D

I can never find beads small enough, where do you buy yours from as I also need some very small one's for my Dad's Christmas stocking as I too hate French knots!
  • Hi,
The snowman is cute, the hands are clever not seen them done like that before, might try that on a Chris.card I've bin asked to do.what a clever idea the black beads,I can do French knots but they take for ever!would never have thought to use beads.

I got my last lot from Sew and Sew I think. They have quite a large selection. You'll need a really small needle, too.
  • :mad:just threw a skein of black thread out. thought it was strange that it only had 5 strands and it looked thicker than usual. it was in a job lot id bought at the car boot already wound on a card.
anyway started stitching with it and it just feel apart, i don't pull tight but the slightest pressure on it just made it disintegrate.
I've unpicked what ive done - glad it wasn't a lot and binned the rest.
