Not according to her feedback - it's all just been socks that have been sold. Wonder if she has worked out how many hours she has worked on it and then gone from there?0

Great minds emslovesmickey. You beat me to it. Her biggest sale is 23 pounds something for a completed cross stitch.
Coffeeandstiches - your project is HUGE:eek: Do you use a frame/hoop or stitch freehand?
Coxy - The Flower Shop Looks amazing. Do you have much further to go?
Winnie - Try stitching something as a gift. Completing the birth sampler for someone else really helped my mojo when I lost it and and now I am back on track.....of course the long dark evenings and a roaring fire help as well :-P Can't remember who suggested it but I thought it was a good idea from one of the ladies to stitch some samples for your business. You might even be able to sell the completed item on the run up to Xmas.:D
Ruth_honey - :hello: Hello again, Nice to see you popping in.0 -
The lady I bought the threads from seems lovely she had 2 full sets of DMC so sold the spare one
She mentioned the new dmc colours but I don't need them atm, clicky for anyone wanting them. They've been dispatched so I should have them early next week :j
MOS, my OH doesn't quite understand the bargain of spending £110 on thread, until I showed him the collectors box, this was his face  I think he got the message :rotfl:
Tricksie, I never thought of one of those small boxes for my WIP, I will add one when I buy the extra boxes I need.
Coffee, fair enough about the exchange it wasn't my intention to force you to join, that HAED is huge it will look amazing finished.
Coxy, love the flower shop not much to go now.
Hippipal, I love animal pictures that eagle is so cool, can't wait to see it finished.Cross Stitch Cafe Member No1WIP: Cross Stitch: - Crochet:0 -

Lol, I am soooooooo going to try this!
I haven't done any stitching today as I wanted to see if my CFS would allow me to walk my dogs! whilst the walk with them was great I have paid for it all day and now I am so irritable I just want to go to bed but know I won't get to sleep and I only walked them for 15 mins
Maybe I should pick up my stitching and see what happens......0 -
Pfff  OH has announced he is doing more fitness stuff tomorrow so that's put paid to doing anything together. I'm sure I won't mind in the morning when I realise I can have a stitchy tv day but at the moment I'm very cross ! I wouldn't mind so much but he has done fitness stuff the last 3 days and I thought we could spend some time together tomorrow before he goes back to work on Sunday.
Today was spent at the shops and I managed to spend more money than yesterday so really do not want to visit again tomorrow. There are too many things I want!
ps I like the new dmc thread colours that someone posted the link for above0 -
Wanted to do something a bit quicker than working on the tiger, so I stitched a tiny fox on one of the baby vests today. I still need to remove the aida from behind it
Very cuteCoffeeandStitches wrote: »Sorry to jump in completely out of the blue, but Holy Moly! Do people actually pay that much??

Interesting question and replies. I doubt that anyone will pay for what our stitching cost if you work out an hourly rateThis one seems to have made quite a bit off large cards clicky
Some of these are really lovely Good to see someone's work being appreciated0 -

If I stitch something, it's because either it's a gift *for* someone and I've picked the design for them, or it's for me because I love the design.
I can't imagine stitching with the express purpose of selling it. (I can see the point for charity stalls - there's a good reason for that). I just wouldn't love it, so it would take ages and drag, or I wouldn't pay as much attention to it and it'd be full of mistakes.
And yes, the hourly rate wouldn't be up to much0 -
I wouldn't mind stitching small bits for a charity coffee morning as I would give my time and materials for free but I would not want to stitch to order. It wouldn't be enjoyable. Cost wise, even a small mouseloft card say 4-5 hours ? at £6.31 minimum wage = £31.55 for one small stitched card ! plus of course the cost of the actual card and materials to begin with !! Crazy !0
