Coxy Flower Shop is stunning and you have made great progress. Looking forward to seeing Santa's Clothes framed - just in time to go on display this year
emslovesmickey Pirate ship is looking good though I don't envy you all the back stitch to finish it off
Hippipal Your eagle design is very impressive
magscat and mos I think the Polperro design is lovely and look forward to seeing it stitched - there's a lot of work in it
nmm glad you bought the threads - they were a bargain and if I were downsizing my stash like this seller was, I'd want the buyer to be someone like you who appreciated them
mrsmp Good progress on the stocking
ruth honey how nice to see you again and thank you for the tea and cakes
Sorry to hear that life has not been treating you and yours well and hope things improve soon.
Please keep popping back into the Cafe as often as you can - actual stitching is optional. At the very least you must come back and admire the Christmas exchange goodies
sweetcarer please keep us updated with news of Soulie and of course pass on our very best wishes
beg Pleased that the single thread for confetti stitching worked for you I love those Nordic Santa designs and am looking forward to seeing it finished
Thank you for the cake - just what I needed this dark and dismal afternoon
ailsb thanks for mentioning about using Chrome when signing up for the JCS subscription as this could cause problems when I do it
coffeeandstitches well done on what you've achieved so far - the design is lovely and you will be moving on to other colours soon
Ayeshalush Your finished sampler looks lovely0 -

Hi all
Been AWOL again as we were decorating the hall stairs and landing this week whilst DS1 was away on holiday and DS2 is at nursery all day. Finally got all the walls painted, the ceiling and all the skirtings, door frames done and doors done down stairs. The landing walls, ceiling skirting and door frames are complete but the doors still need to be done. The stairs have had all the banisters done but the skirtings still need doing. Quite pleased with what we have achieved in 3.5 days. We plan on getting the upstairs doors done next weekend as we can use the stairgate to keep DS2 downstairs and one of us can paint upstairs on sat the other on sunday and that will be upstairs complete. Then we will do the same the following weekend for the stairs skirting.
DH now planning on doing the other rooms as the new paint makes everywhere but the boys rooms look shabby lol.
So as you can imagine not any stitching done but I did get Crossstitcher 220 in the post so I have been browsing through that. Apart from the MacIntosh alphabet which I wanted there are quite a few nice designs in there to add to my stash.
Coxy You are doing such a beautiful job on the flower shop
mrsmp the stocking is coming on really well
emslovesmickey the Pirate ship is coming on really well, it will be impressive when it is finished and I am sure your brother will love it
Hippipal that eagle is amazing you can imagine it in real life
nmm I now have total stash envy but in saying that quite a few on here have stash that I envy lol
coffeeandstitches gosh that is a massive piece of work to take on and it will be so enchanting when its finished
Ayeshalush the sampler looks lovely and I love the colours in it. I saw it in the magazine but it looks even better in real life.
Beg what fabric did you buy for the nativity. I have a penguin doorstop to make and I fancy the sparkly aida for the background as it will look like snow?
Tricksie OOOh that wee box for individual projects looks fab - have added that to my santa list - along with a mountain of baking things lol.:o
Louise well what can I say, what an amazing amount of cards and so varied as well. They are absolutely stunning. How on earth do you manage it - gonna call you wonder woman now :rotfl:Hope you have a nice couple of days away.
winnie sorry to hear your mojo has gone. As others have said maybe a small project that's quick to finish will help you get you back in the mood again.
Mrs TM foxy is very cute. Nice to have something to do whilst you are working on a big project.
Right think that's me caught up. Hope to get some stitching done tonight.0 -
