I've been in town shopping today but couldn't really be bothered to browse once I'd met my friend and we'd eaten lunch so I'm home now enjoying a cup of tea and hope to settle on the sofa soon to stitch. I hate it when you buy a few bits and then it becomes a chore carrying it round ....

It was busier than I was expecting - I'm not sure if this was because some schools are closed today.

My holiday is coming to an end and I feel sad but I have had a nice break. :)
  • Nmm, now it have thread envy! :D

I have wasted far too long on the internet today as I couldn't get motivated to start my stitching, it was a couple of stitches here, a different colour there.......uuurrrggghhh ........... Finally managed about an hour but have now stopped to cook dinner for us, an early tea of spaghetti Bol and then back to more stitching.

    Remember me??? :)
I am so sorry I've been away for so long. I've spent the past week reading the entire thread to catch up.

Welcome to the new members! I'll make a giant pot of tea and there's cake for everyone! Thanks for posting pics of your work. There's been some wonderful updates.

I'm gonna give the Christmas exchange a miss this year. My mojo is still missing. I've not done any cross stitch in months. :( I go to my stitchy meet on a Friday and just sit and chat! I'm sure they'll ban me soon! ;) On the plus side I've been reading loads. Got into ordering lots of books from the library and working my way through those. Think I've got 10 out at the moment and two to collect! :o

Had a bit of a rough time at home recently too. My hubby had a bike accident and although he wasn't hurt-thank goodness-the bike was a write off. Less than a week after that, he collapsed (unrelated) and his glasses cut his face badly. It's healing really well, but he needs to have a 24 hour heart monitor soon to see if everything is ok. They think it could be an irregular heartbeat.

I'm quite stressed and feel quite overwhelmed with things at times. I apologise to anyone who I should've been in touch with and I hope you understand.

Sorry to hear Soulie is back in hospital again. Please update us if anyone hears how she's doing. I don't have Facebook, so I miss out on some news posted on there.

I really hope my stitchy bug returns soon. I miss it and I feel like I'm wasting so much time, but I just don't feel inspired at all. Not even the thought of starting something new is making me feel like picking up a needle. :( But I promise to keep up to date in here and I'm sure you wonderful people will soon help me get back on track!

    Hugs,

Winnie - I would certainly try something smaller to "kick start" your mojo back into gear.

nmm - I was going to comment re the floss and say if you could afford it go for it, but I see you have gone for it. Good for you. I'd also like Santa to bring me the wooden box full of dmc floss.

Rhaben - all the talk of the price of floss in the USA has made me want to go there next year but we can't, we need to wait until 2015. We're planning a Disney visit when our son finishes his GCSEs. I am kicking myself as we've been twice before and I never looked at any cross stitch stash whilst I was there.

FOS - I like the idea of using 1 strand of thread and doing each x twice, will try it myself when I'm next doing confetti stitching.

Mags - I think I have those designs in my stash. Glad someone can make use of them.

FE - Glad you had a nice week off.

Ruth - glad to hear you are ok, you were missed. Sorry to hear that you've had family problems, I'm sure your hubby will be fine. My has an irregular heartbeat and takes medication daily but he's fine. Hopefully your stitchy mojo will return soon.
