Congratulations Mrs_T_M, I am 41 now and my eldest will be 18 in 5 weeks time! :eek: My youngest will be 17 in May 2014, so I was 23 when I had my eldest and 25 when I had my youngest, when my DD went into hospital last week, the nursing staff kept asking her where her Mum was whilst I was sat with her :rotfl:

The Christmas globe looks absolutely gorgeous and I would love to stitch it but don't think I will have the time.

Here is an update on my Dad's Christmas stocking, do you think the hearts look OK next to the Dad, the original had 7 letters and 2 hearts but I needed to change that bit

I have new neighbours who haven't moved in yet but they are currently scraping the wallpaper off the sitting room walls.

The noise is driving me mad and is very distracting.....is it wrong of me to want to throttle them already for disturbing my stitching time???

Honestly its not a problem I've decided that I will wait and see what santa brings I've also subscribed to cs card shop on 3 for £3 so that should tide me over till then. I would rather a caf! member gets the bargain than someone else

I bought 2 of these clicky each compartment fits 6 8m full bobbins snuggly so they don't move at all and I thought they worked out pretty cheap Or its £6.75 for the genuine DMC one clicky

It's the same thing with me as well. I live in a very small rural town and there are NO craft type stores within an hour radius. WalMart has some stuff, but not all of the DMC flosses. So if WalMart doesn't have it, I'm on the internet shopping. I get a lot of floss, etc. from 123Stitch.com.

Dang it! I just got home from WalMart:mad: Too bad I didn't see this first. I haven't bought aida in years. I have a couple of bolts of it that I bought back in the '90s and am still working on. (before you ask, I used to sell kits of custom patterns)

I did a quick look at their site and for a piece 30" x 36" it is $9.32. You ought to get your mom to send you a "care package" of stuff.

yes, definitely true. I go to Florida once a year on holiday and always stock up on floss in Walmart/Joann and Michaels. (plus piles of other craft stuff !!) This Nov when I'm there I want to get a cuttlebug - half the price in Walmarts as it costs here. :mad:

There's another craft store I've never been to - Hobby Lobby. What are your views on it, is it worth a 30 minute drive to visit ?

No stitching for me this evening as my Step Dad was over and he gets funny if there is the merest mention of my Dad so thought it better to put the stitching away! I should maybe find a Wednesday evening project so that I can do that whilst he is here

Hi all - not posted much today, been rushing about daft, packing things for everyone today. Boys are away to Granny's for a couple of days, DD is getting dropped at her Grans in the morning and hubby and I are going to Essex to meet up with some friends. We will only be away a couple of days (don't like leaving the kids for long) but it's nice just to have time to chat without being interrupted

Knowing we were going away, I deliberately didn't start anything after completing HK but when we get back I intend to sort and start the 'Mother and child' Christmas stitch. :T (Along with my cardmaking day) We need to invent a new month to get more time for crafts - it can be called Julember
