EDIT: I'm having a cross stitch dilemma, I have seen the full set of dmc on bobbins for £115 delivered which is a bargain considering the price is going up in January and ats closing down. I have all I need for BD and it'll take a few months to complete him so I don't really need it just now, should I buy it or wait and hope for some offers later on, HELP :rotfl:

Decision decisions :) I would say that if you can afford it go for it. Hope I'm not leading you astray :D. The fact that they are already on the bobbins is a plus too. I have been looking for some bobbin boxes today but they weren't the right ones - the compartments were too big to hold the bobbins nicely. I already have two and one is fine (compartments just the right size) and the other one came from Home Bargains and I'm not very happy with it as the bobbins seem to flip about in the compartments. So if anyone spots the 'right' ones at a good price please point me in the right direction. I AM going to get all my threads sorted in 2014 - hubby bought me a couple of hundred Anchor threads last xmas and they are still sort of sorted in bags. :o

Definitely give something else a go. Even if it is only a couple of xmas cards and hopefully the stitching mojo will be back with you. You might just be a bit tired with being so busy.

    Good luck.

Thanks guys, I knew what you'd say but I had to ask :rotfl:

TMIF, its a listing on ebay someone is selling their stash Clicky. If you want it go for it, i'm still undecided as I really don't need it right now. I was watching these 2 listings also 198 dmc and 175 dmc in a lovely wooden box.

love your 3D pieces rhaben, i was admiring them on your site when i had a look round. Forgot to say i did love your carousel horses they look beautiful.

Thank you. I love carousel animals but have never liked the patterns that were available. I wanted to see real carousel animals, not the fantasy ones that most commercial patterns are. Many of the ones I made are from my favorite carousel in Myrtle Beach, SC. I grew up with that one.

I've read elsewhere about the price of floss in the UK. That it is high. Here in the US, I get a skein from WalMart (HUGE department store chain) for 30 cents. I think that would be .19 pounds. From what I read, you pay way more than that per skein. Is that true?

Must not buy any more threads until I have finished my current projects.....
It is so nice to see all the links to different patterns, shops and bargains, but I need to be self controlled!

I also need to learn not to stitch when tired. I'm going to have to unpick what I did last night. Think I'll leave it for tonight and do some on my day off tomorrow when it is a bit lighter. I have a daylight lamp, but find that it gives me a headache if I use it for too long.
