Mrs_T_M - What an exciting time you have got ahead of you. You've given me butterflies in my tummy just reading your post :rotfl::rotfl:

I'm really looking forward to Christmas this year. I am thinking of stitching my mom a poem that will let her know that I'm pregnant, sending it to her, and making her get on skype before she opens it. I'll be 12 weeks and will hopefully have a scan near the beginning of December, so I'm hoping to send her a pic as well. It will be the first grandchild on both sides of the family, so lots of travelling to tell people the news in December! I can call all of my family in the States for next to nothing (DH works for a local telecommunications provider), so I'll be doing the rounds the day after we tell mom.
That is a really nice idea. My daughter painted a mug which said 'I'm looking forward to meeting my Grandparents' and gift wrapped it for us to announce her pregnancy! It was a lovely way to find out. Her baby is due on Monday.0 -
I've been looking at doing some xstitch Christmas cards, I've found this one on amazon, it looks really good but scared it'll be too complicated?

Hi salfordgirl - card looks lovely. I noticed that the one reviewer said that it was more complicated than they first thought it would be so I think I would be a little bit cautious. I haven't actually done cards like this before but no doubt some of the other ladies will be along to offer more advice.

I really like the tatty teddy ones (I know I'm setting myself up to hate them with all of the greys!), but anything that is gender neutral would be wonderful.

Hi Mrs_T_M
Congratulations to you and your hubby!
I have these two designs as charts, if you like them send me a PM

I wish you luck though, I did the last one for a friend and although I love designs with lots of detail, I could have gladly thrown this in the bin numerous times!0 -
Hello Girls,
Wee late one for me - meant to get on Sunday to do my update pictures but got dragged out - had to pick someone up for airport - was volunteered.
Then last night my Da wanted to see me - so had to drive down to see him - they live a bit a way.Couldn't have put it better myself - well said nmm:T:T:T
Cards are easy enough and there isn't a single person on this board who would criticise someone's work, they would simply appreciate the time and effort which went into making it
Its the thought that counts - always nice to get a wee card from someone who has taken the time and thought of you.firefly369 wrote: »OMG! Mrs T_M Congratulations!!!!:j I haven't been on the TTC thread for a while so popped in the check after your post. SO very Happy for you. It''s all that good Karma from doing those daily lists...I am sure the same thing happened to Becca;)
Many congratulations Mrs TM.Hopefully, you won't have a really hot summer. Living in the southern US, the summer heat and being largely pregnant was miserable.
My hubby is American - I am Scottish. We live in Scotland. He was born in Michigan and was brought up in Georgia near the tri state line - so I have been to North Carolina.
Birthdays - mine is July and hubbys in late January - so not badly spaced out. The cats in March - we don't have kids (can't have them).
Ok update time

This is the poem that I want to cross stitch and send my mom (and if I have time, cross stitch and take to DH's parents) - This was kindly 'borrowed' from someone on a different message board, but I love it!
I do not have a face to see,
Or put inside a frame.
I do not have soft cheeks to kiss,
I don't yet have a name.
You can't yet hold my tiny hands,
Nor whisper in my ear.
It's still too soon to sing a song,
Or cuddle me so near.
But all will change come 20 June 2014,
That's when the say I'm due.
I'm you new grandson or grandaughter,
I can't wait till I meet you.
All I ask between now and then,
Is your patience while I grow.
I promise I'll be worth the wait,
Because of all the love we'll know.
So what I have to give you now,
Is a wish to you from me.
I cannot wait to be a part
Of this wonderful family.0 -

The black silhouettes were in a magazine the others were in free booklets which came with them.
