    .

Louise - I tend to use the 'holes punched in card' method for storing threads for current project and/or these plastic bags from Ikea. They are lovely and strong and get reused several times.
Update on Nativity - almost completed the border (got about 30 mins before I go out - that should be enough time to finish it). Bought another skein of black this morning as I just had a feeling I would run out tomorrow when the shop would be closed and that wouldn't do :D.

I should have mentioned the Nativity uses two full skeins of black :)
I keep meaning to get those bags but never spot them in Ikea - not that I manage to get there that often tbh

  • Just seen the post about the cards selling on ebay. Can I just say that even though I stitch and know the work that has gone into those I would never pay that much for a card...xx

If you are like me, part of the reason would be the thought, "I could do that." My sister hates going to craft fairs with me, because I keep saying that when I look at just about anything for sale.:D

Update on my reindeer project. Finished both sides of the body, part of the belly, 3/4 of the head and all of the ears. aRom6Yx.png

Aha - found the post I was looking for. Cute box, but when I put my threads together for a project, I used the 'holes punched in card' method. I have so many WIP's I would be forever raking boxes to find the bobbins :rotfl:

However, when I clicked that link, there was an interesting 'things which may also interest you' section at the bottom.....

    The Ultimate Stitchy Stash box

    Wow......*wants one* :j

I tend to only have one big wip and a couple of little ones which I use thread sorters for. Love that box but nowhere to put it.

I recognise this from Facebook. I cross stitch and I'm not ashamed of it :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

    Evening ladies,

Have done a bit more of the lovable panda so hope to post an update photo tomorrow evening.

Decided to have a rest tonight and slowly making an indent on the jack daniels!

Thanks, *Louise*. All my stitched Christmas cards come back out every year. I love seeing them again.
I want my stitching bug to return! It's so annoying. I've got some lovely Christmas kits I could be getting on with.

Got my threads sorted and fabric cut - just about to start mother and child. It's actually bigger than I thought it was going to be, 160 stitches high by 70 wide.

Hope everyone is having a good Saturday night x

Sometimes you just need to get something out and start it. Then you will get excited about it. That is what happened to me.
