Quick question, does anyone subscribe to an online cross stitch magazine? I'm considering subscribing to Just Cross Stitch, its $19.95 for 12 months and you get 2 years of back magazines. Has anyone got experience of this magazine?
No, but I would be interested in others opinions. I always figured I would probably end up spending more on ink to print out charts:rotfl:

That's one of my concerns but can normally print at work or hubbys work if its only a few pages. Also thought I might be able to work straight from tablet but not sure as I do like to mark off as I go and don't think that's possible.Cross Stitch Cafe Member #59 :j

I know I am naughty as I rarely post on here, though put my pics in the Flickr group (much more active on the Cross Stitch forum and HAED & Chatelaine Yuku Boards) - so I hope you'll forgive the intrusion!
Ailsb just wanted to say that nowadays I stitch 100% from my iPad (other tablets are available) using the GoodNotes app which allows you to mark off your chart as you go. I find it soooooo much easier stitching from my tablet especially as you can enlarge the charts at a swipe of a finger which is essential when stitching on Chatelaine designs (most of my charts are PDFs these days)! I even scan paper charts so that I can put them on my iPad I am that obsessed! I saw that offer from JCS too and was mighty tempted after seeing it on a blog I follow, but then again I am at SABLE already so will probably resist :rotfl:.

Louise - your A Manger A Child looks lovely, I especially like the sparkly fabric. Its remjnded me that I have a piece somewhere.
Mos - I did similar. I started stitching gone 11 and have just stopped as the holes keep moving.

The March/April issue had a lovely butterfly design by one of your fave designers Alessandra Adelaide
Does the subscription include the Christmas Ornaments issue or just the 6 regular issues ?
I think it sounds like a good deal0 -
Maisie M, the mackintosh alphabet was in cross stitcher issue 220.
Thanks Nmm - you had perfect timing. There was an issue finishing on Fleebay about 45 minutes after you posted so I snaffled that. All paid for and hopefully winging it's way to me tomorrow. I had looked at issue 219 online but couldn't find anything about 220 apart from the cover which had nothing about the alphabet on it, so I had been a bit worried about taking the plunge and buying it.0 -
Can I be included in the Christmas exchange please? Missed the deadline last yearCross Stitch Cafe Member Number 44:rudolf:Cross Stitch Is For Life Not Just For Christmas :rudolf:0

Louise. Your latest Christmas piece is stunning. The sparkly fabric works really well
Caroline. Hi. Good to know you're still around. Hope this year's exchange works as well as when you arranged it
hippipal Great finds:money:
sweetcarer so unusual for magazine charts to reach those prices. Lovely designs though. I always loved Sheila Hudson's work0 -
Quite a few of want to take part in the exchange but there doesn't seem to be a clear consensus on card or ornament or coaster
So what I propose is that I will organise a Christmas Exchange which can be any of the above
Please send me a pm with your name and address if you want to take part. Include in the message if you have any preference for card coaster or ornament and I will sort the list according to preferences. I will be sending your details to someone else I the Cafe and you won't know who as I won't pair people up. Instead person 1 sends to person 2 who sends to person 3 who sends to person 1 ( if only 3 taking part)
Hope this is ok Can I have details by Fri 25th October please and I will sort out the list over that weekend.
Posting date will be Sat 30th or Mon 2nd Dec but no earlier. Take a photo before you mail if possible
Of course stitching can start now but please no progress pics as we want this to be a surprise
Let me know if this doesn't suit0 -

Great advice about the online sub. Mine is due to expire so think I may renew online instead of paper thus saving chart miles0 -

It does make me giggle when stitching and the holes 'move', it can sometimes take me ages to find the right place! I spend ages talking to myself as well, good job my lot are used to it, they don't bother to answer me now! Lol0
