Not feeling too clever this week so didn't do much stitching. Hoped to sort myself out this weekend but woke up at 2.45am this morning, managed to doze again about 5am but feel really shattered and lethargic now.
I know how you feel. That happens to me quite often, just last night as a matter of fact. Sometimes I will take a melatonin to help me get back to sleep, other times I just read for a bit.
Your stitching looks great, btw!0 -
Hi everyone,
Great update pics everyone, cute panda and I love the sparkly Christmas fabric Louise.
I popped into Guides on Friday with some mock up designs. Was told by the guide leader that its wishful thinking that the guides will be able to manage anything sellableThese are the designs I did, your comments are appreciated

I also stitched a minion today plus a letter L from the Christmas alphabet in cross stitch crazy (MILs initial) I think you can see these via the above link - let me know if not. Feeling a bit deflated TBH. The fundraising is for a trip next year that only 9 of the 37 guides can afford to go on, so any monies raised would go towards their costs. Don't know why I bother sometimes
Sorry for the moan - does this cafe have a drinks licence and if not can we get one :rotfl:

Coxy 11 if the Guides don't want your patterns, why don't you list them on Etsy and give them the proceeds? It only costs twenty cents (US) to list and they take 3% of price when it sells. There are a LOT of folks buying and selling patterns there.0

Evening All, have put down my crochet blanket for today and finally managed to pick up my cross stitching and it was lovely!
Still working on the Gardening stocking for my Dad and will try and update you with a picture on Tuesday as I haven't really done enough to warrant a picture.
It has been a really dark dank day here so I needed my light on, trouble was the bit I was stitching was full of different symbols and really hard to read, I was almost tempted to put my Hubbie's head lamp on.......now there's a look :rotfl:
Hope you have all had a lovely day of stitching.0 -

louise as usual your work is gorgeous, i cant believe how quickly you got that piece finished and the fabric really sets it off.
panda looks so cute as does the lovely nursery stitch
sorry to hear guide leader was so negative about your stitching plans Coxy
cant wait to see the pictures of your work rhaben, keep popping in to chat and youll soon be able to post them
started the appliqued stocking for my friend last night, its not really cross stitch so i wont waffle on about it or post phtos in here but oh my what a lot of work - it took me two hourse to sort the threads and sew two rows of beads and sequins on to make the rainbow. DH think its going to take over 100 hours and it wont be finished for christmas this year. he also cant belive im planning on giving it away once its done.
FoS, ill pm you as i'd love to be in the exchange, not sure what ill do yet card coaster or decoration, decisions decisions......

I did a few sneaky stitches whilst breakfast was cooking this morning (I love multitasking) :rotfl: and then discovered (once I'd munched breakfast, washed up and sat down to stitch) that last night's stitching would have to be unpicked as I had somehow managed to use two different shades of white? In the cold light of day, the difference was glaring. I have no idea how I managed it?! Of course the wine I was drinking last night
had nothing to do with it!!!!! :rotfl:

Morning all!
Hope everyone had a lovely weekend. I spent the majority of it curled up on the sofa with a needle in hand. Bliss! Still no progress pics though, but i *think* after the end of the column I am stitching, the shading might become a bit more apparent. I'll post a pic up then. But for now, if you would all just imagine a black rectangle, you'll get the picture
Would love to join the exchange, but I've never stitched cards, coasters or ornaments, and wouldn't want to risk it, someone may end up really disappointed with my offerings! So I'll sit out this year, await all your beautiful pictures, and practice for next year. :j
Coxy - Would the guide leader not even let them try? What's the worst that can happen, and there might be a few surprises?
Louise - That. Is. Stunning!! Would you mind at all if you could let me know where I could find the pattern? Only I've got a MIL who would love that, it would earn me serious DIL brownie points :beer:0
