Mrs T_M--wow, what a great haul!
One question, the pattern "Children in Art", does it say who the original artist was? It reminds me of an illustrator whose works I've have converted to cross stitch (Jessie Willcox Smith).0 -

Honestly not one person would be disappointed with what you stitched, we all said last year how nice it was to stitch something for someone who would actually appreciate the time and effort put in. Your design can be as simple as you like, for example my family xmas cards this year are going to be blackwork cards which are quick and easy. We will help with mounting the card or making the ornament etc. If you want to join in do it, it'll be fun I promise
Mrs_T_M, great bargain hunting how much did it all cost you? I recall someone on here stitching the house with the black cat it reminds me of the charmed house :rotfl:Cross Stitch Cafe Member No1WIP: Cross Stitch: - Crochet:0 -

Doesn't say, just that it's licensed by DMC and made in England.Mrs_T_M, great bargain hunting how much did it all cost you? I recall someone on here stitching the house with the black cat it reminds me of the charmed house :rotfl:
Everything costed £22 total (£20 today and £2 for the white tiger one that I'm currently working on, bought it last Saturday). There was that much in just thread at least, much less the aida and patterns! There are still more patterns up there, it's the CATS charity shop in Norwich if anyone is local and interested. £2 and under, although I bought most of the big ones.0 -
You got loads for £22, last time I was in a charity shop, all they had in was a few books and a cross stitch half done on a frame :rotfl: I was actually after a crochet hook which they found at the bottom of the needle jar
Must go have another look sometime and maybe try the bigger ones in town.

FE - did you stitch or tidy? I've managed a bit of each today. Cleaned main bathroom and done background on rock symbol.
I did just under an hour of tidying then general relaxing/stitching (which I unpicked this morning) I can see a bit of the carpet now ......
And here are the ones that are up for grabs for free. I'll have to wait until payday to ship them out to anyone who wants them though. The only thing I ask: when you're finished with it/them, send them on to someone else who will enjoy them!
This Flowers of the Month Bears is lovely - has anyone claimed this yet? If not, can I be cheeky and claim it - perhaps I can have a look through my stash and swap something of mine for it? I also like the other bear design but not sure it would be something that would ever get stitched.0 -
I've been to the cinema this afternoon. We saw Rush which I didn't think I would enjoy but actually it was really good.
I had my stitching in my bag but didn't think it sensible to do any stitching after last night's disaster of using the wrong shade of white! The missing threads I needed arrived today so I will hopefully be able to finish the project this week and the threads for my margaret sherry project have also arrived so that's tempting me too. I'm loving having my stitching bug back :T

This is how far I managed to get this afternoon. Will keep going after dinner and hopefully one more day will see it finished in time.
I am sorry that I won't be able to take part in the Christmas exchange this year. I just have too much on and I would hate to disappoint someone by not finishing on time:o. Can't wait to see what you all stitch this year tho':xmassmile
Hi:hello: to Mrs T_M and Caroline. Nice to know you are both still around.
Beautiful sampler - they will love it I am sure. :T
With regard to the card exchange, I came across the card you did for me last year and can assure you it will be on display again this year.Sorry to hear that you feel you won't have time for the exchange this year - are you sure we can't tempt you

Hey everyone
Not feeling too clever this week so didn't do much stitching. Hoped to sort myself out this weekend but woke up at 2.45am this morning, managed to doze again about 5am but feel really shattered and lethargic now.
Have done some stitching but put it away for now, might try some later once I do my ironing and assuming I can shake this sleepiness off
Here's last weeks pic:

Really not happy with progress, want this done by end of November if poss and loads left to do
He is a real cutey. Had a quick look at the completed pic and look forward to seeing your next update.
You have my sympathies with regard to lack of sleep. Is it a woman thing - men (as far as I can tell) don't seem to have the same problem. My hubby tells me he sleeps well as he has a clear conscience! He has an awful cold atm - doesn't stop him from sleeping but the snoring has increased several decibels.
