I think monitoring this kind of information might provide an indicator of Aldi's future intent regarding PE.

Does anyone have a new store opening close to them in the near future?

The winchester store which opened earlier in the year has been infested with Parking Eye

Thanks for this, I suspect it was opened (and infested) before all the current furore.

Although they didn't do any research in the area as there is a large free car-park 50 metres away, plus Waitrose next door.

Probably because some will have positive customer experiences the same with any retailer. Where it fails massively is that not only do they engage parking eye, they actively encourage them by victimising their customers, they have an aggressive person called Rachel Organ who is basically a parking eye employee working for Aldi .

And if you can believe this, they were looking for a staff member who has a job role called parking eye assistant or something similar . Why are we against Aldi , well we can't let sheer un-customer friendly company wage war against their own shoppers.

    Dunno. :p

I once walked into Portslade Aldi with my Auntie who lives nearby, looked at the horrid 'shed' and palettes of stuff and mess piled everywhere - and walked out again! Not for me!

    Morning ParkingEye!

Has anyone posted this link on the Aldi FB page and asked Aldi for comments about the irregularities with witness statements, from their point of view?

For about a year now I've been using a new Aldi that cropped up between my workplace and the motorway for 'top up' shopping on the way home. Last night one of the spaces near the entrance had barriers around it and a shiny new pole for the ANPR camera had been installed, along with others for signage.

Odd really as there is lots of onstreet parking around there and a massive unrestricted supermarket car park across the road (these have long since kicked out their PPC)

Once the signs go up I'll see if I can cross reference them with the local planning dept :)
