I use 3 different Lidl's within a few miles of me, truthfully I've never had a problem there at all, and none of these stores has any parking company lurking there. The nearest Aldi is about 8 miles from me, but they don't have a parking company there either. But as I said I've never shopped there. I can only go by what I'm experiencing when I go to Lidl

My nearest Lidl has just literally in the last month employed the "services" of Total Parking Solutions ....... should soon start to see a decline in customers then!

I just don't get the logic of these companies at times, surely if a parking company takes money off a customer, then that customer has less money to spend within the shop. The sooner companies take responsibility for their car parks and manage it themselves the better

    Latest appalling case.

Now if the car park was being properly managed the parking attendant would have spotted this lady's dilemma with her broken trolley, helped her load the car and fully understood why she was a few minutes over the 1 hour parking limit, and seen her safely off on her journey home.

Instead - click, click, shock in the post!
    Dear Aldi,
Last Sunday I was in your Gillingham store with my 3 year old little girl.
The car park was very busy on entrance and we needed to wait 10 minutes for a space.
We carried out a large weekly shop, with extra Christmas products.
During this trip my Daughter needed to visit the toilet and one of your staff members were very helpful and allowed her access to the toilet.
The store was very busy with queues at the checkout- which is to be expected creeping into the Christmas period.
I then encountered difficulties getting my large shopping trolley across the car park as the wheel locked with your security measures - involving in me needing to unload my trolley from the middle of the carpark to carry my shopping to the car, while trying to keep my shopping safe and more importantly ..... My daughter.
I went back into the store, to complain about the locked trolley as I could not get my £1 returned, and a staff member came out to try and unlock the trolley- which was unsuccessful- resulting on another trip into the store to have my £1 returned from the till.
All of these delays- which are completely out of my control, resulted in my car being in the carpark for longer than 1hour.
I visit Aldi.... Loyally every week to safe money on tight family budgets - to receive a parking charge- was a shock and also incredibly disappointing- especially as the delays were not due to my poor time management.
Can you please advice me how Aldi will be supporting me as a form of customer service?

Do you think a large international company like Aldi has not done the sums?

Looks like the latest approach from Aldi is to lie to customers and pretend it is not their car park. They think it is some big joke that the customers are getting targeted left right and centre by parking eye.
I have never seen a more arrogant company that deserves to be boycotted.
They have to be the pinnacle of a company determined to pee off as many customers as possible, even allowing the parking scammers to shorten shopping times creating a perfect storm.
Make no mistake they will destroy themselves and they bloody well deserve it.
    Be happy...;)

No I don't ! And that they also haven't done the consequences of giving out such tickets, every time they do so they risk losing that customer for life!

Last week at Aldi in Northampton (St. James) the tills went down and they could only take cash. Unsurprisingly, the queues were massive as people wandered across the road (breaching Parking Eye's notices) to go to the ATM to get cash out........

I wonder if PE did some good business?

No doubt we'll be hearing soon enough.

And with Christmas approaching, PE must be rubbing their hands with glee as car park congestion will mean people taking longer to find a space, often having to wait for other cars to exit (but, of course, pic already on its way to Chorley and the clock is ticking!). Then long queues at tills and car parks log-jammed, preventing swift exit. Second pic on its way to Chorley, and PCN in its envelope.

Let's hope Sarah, Gina and Libby don't get stuck in the melee. :)

Nope, they have fallen for the (thinly-veiled protection racket) spiel sold by some 'suit' rocking up at Aldi Head Office along the basic lines: 'we will look after your parking problems for free guv'. Aldi and the Range have fallen for it, just like Somerfield did and all the others who have realised too late what they have got themselves into:
