Maybe someone should print off some of the facebook comments and post it to the Aldi Sud head office in Germany0

Busy on here today with new Parking threads so it seems appropriate to bounce a thread about one of their paymasters !0

I see they've got a caption competition on going for this
They better not leave that in their car park for too long...From the Plain Language Commission:
"The BPA has surely become one of the most socially dangerous organisations in the UK"0 -
My caption entry would be :
'Idea number 1 to avoid a fake parking ticket and small claims court from Parking Eye if you are an Aldi customer = camouflage your vehicle and cover the numberplate with a bit of straw...'PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Well, I used to shop at Aldi and I don't anymore. It's the only way.0

Yet more indiscriminate persecution of the most vulnerable.
The PE Gattling gun mows down another two of Aldi's customers, lost for good. Great business model, Aldi :THi
We always shop at aldi in Catford but the parking used to be 2 hours. Both my wife and I are over 80 therefore it takes us that much longer to shop. To my horror I received today a parking ticket for £80 for going 11 minutes over the 1 hour limit.(£40 if I pay quickly). As far as we are concerned we are likely to pay an extra £40 every time we shop at Aldi needless to say we will be shopping elsewhere in futurePlease note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .
I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.

I see Watchdog is back on the screens, I wonder if Aldi will feature.
Would be funny if Anne invites Rachael to appear and gives her a good grilling about how she thinks Aldi can fine customers who stay too long
I wonder how long this will stay up:0 -

The no1 store about solving problems. Ignore your customer's queries, moans and groans and see if they will go away!!!!!!
And the reply from Aldi's PR team?
This is great to hear Ady, we are pleased your issue has been resolved! Thanks, Aldi UK Facebook Team
This just shows what idiots Aldi are using to manage their Facebook page.0 -
Yet another complaint from a dissatisfied (ex) customer:-
On the 13th of this month I called in Aldi in Stockport, I was in the shop for 31 minutes. Today I received a parking charge notice for £70.
The 2 pictures show me arriving and leaving and I agree that it is my car so no problem there, but the photo's show me on the main road and not in the car park parked up.
Having done a bit of delving on the internet this company (parking eye) have got more chance of me platting fog than paying them. There is no police or council seal on this piece of bumf, I will treat it with the contempt it deserves.
As for Aldi, how come this is not nationwide, I normally use the Hyde branch and have never had a problem. What part of "A whop bop-a-lu a whop bam boo" don't you understand?0 -
I wonder if Aldi have Google alerts ?
Just in case - Aldi are ripping off their customers by using the criminals known as Parking Eye.
To Aldi - I've challenged you to sue me a number of times, I do so again !0
