And Lidl according to tonight's letter page in the Evening Argus !0 -
but please remember it was never a "FINE" in the first place!
There are lots of other Aldi customers still being scammed by Parking Eye so the fight is still ongoing!
I realised this when I had "Googled" them and yes,the fight is still on! Some of the advice I read on the net was not to ignore the letters but to appeal and this is what I did, NOT to PE but direct to Aldi. I know someone else who did this too and the outcome was a "cancellation" also. I just did not want the hassle of any more letters or threats from them (I have enough Junk mail as it is!!)
I also went to the manager of our local Aldi and expressed what I thought about genuine customers being harassed this way. His comment was that parking "is a sensitive issue"!
It might be that our ongoing protests are actually getting through to Aldi? or am I wearing my rose tinted specs!!!!0 -

Most definitely the orchestrated protests have put Aldi on the back foot. Without the coordinated approach I believe they would have ignored the odd complainant on their FB page.
We've got them cancelling individual charges, but the ultimate must be them ridding their customers' car parks of this rabid threat (as The Range and Tesco have done at one site).
It has now put Aldi between a very big rock and an even harder place. Customers are rebelling and going elsewhere, and the FB comments are causing them a PR disaster. On the other side they are very aware of the contract cancellaion penalty that Somerfield had to pay (via a court judgment) to get shot of PE, the decision to give them their marching orders was because of the pandemonium PE had visited on their customers - just as they are now doing at Aldi.
The proverbial hit the fan when PE issued mass LBAs (on behalf of Aldi - Aldi are, after all, the principal and so are liable - jointly and severally - for the actions of their agent) in June. Which customer-facing organisation would be stupid enough to persecute, then prosecute their own customers?
When everyone has had a good think about the answer to that, answers on a postcard please. For those struggling with working this out - here's two of the 4 letters in the answer ..... A_ _i.
Good luck :rotfl:Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .

Makes it even more confusing as to why they are bothering to entertain PE within 100 miles of any of their stores.
I wonder whether PE has any form of 'control' over Aldi (other than their contract)? So come on Aldi, show some backbone and explain exactly why you still want to be in bed with an organisation that, in the pursuit of their own profits, are clearly, with no shame, damaging yours? Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. It would appear to be upsetting Aldi somewhat. They now remove posts questioning their relationship with Parking Eye.
Keep posting everyone !0 -
Somebody called Ady has just posted this on the Facebook page:-
The no1 store about solving problems. Ignore your customer's queries, moans and groans and see if they will go away!!!!!!
And the reply from Aldi's PR team?
This is great to hear Ady, we are pleased your issue has been resolved! Thanks, Aldi UK Facebook Team
This just shows what idiots Aldi are using to manage their Facebook page. What part of "A whop bop-a-lu a whop bam boo" don't you understand?0
