Let's have a look at some of the other statements which the reader is asked to consider in the context of the principal and the agent here.Responsibility stands for our commitment towards our people, customers, partners and the environment. It also includes principles such as fairness, honesty, openness, service orientation and friendliness. We expect our business partners to establish and follow a clear set of regulations and procedures regarding occupational health and safety. Workplace practice and conditions which violate basic human rights are not tolerated. We expect our business partners to have defined and implemented a policy for social accountability. A management system must be established to ensure these standards will be achieved. Our Integrity
We expect our employees to comply with the respective national laws and generally accepted business practices consistent with these laws, wherever we operate.
We are committed to the highest standards of responsible behaviour and integrity in all
our relationships with customers, business partners and authorities.
Guidance to our employees is provided on all relevant matters of integrity, such as fair competition, privacy protection, insider knowledge, confidentiality, and the avoidance
of bribery and/or corruption.
I note some on FB are currently querying the planning consent given by LAs relating to the unilateral alteration of consented parking times. Now, the reader may already be aware Aldi has previous 'form' and received a (legitimate) FINE in this regard. Presumably the 'Our Integrity' paragraph was developed post-Portslade?Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .
I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.

But they are not even from Aldi HQ. John Bulter asked a question yesterday and the first reply is
"Hi John, thanks for your post. To clarify, Weber Shandwick manage the Aldi UK Facebook Page, and this is explained on our About tab here on our Page. Thanks for letting us know some more information about the letter you've sent us - we'll look into this for you now"
As someone commented, 'I think you're managing this page about as well as Parking Eye manage car parks!'
Mebbe someone needs to write to the head honchos at Aldi proper and ask them if they've taken a look at their Facebook page lately.Je suis Charlie.0 -

It should also be remembered that not only were Aldi fined for the Portslade offense but then a year later they attempted, along with Parking Eye, to change it to an Aldi only car park. I complained to both Parking Eye and Aldi but heard nothing. The council were VERY interested when I contacted them !0 -
I'm throwing my ten pence worths on the FB page, and I am also enjoying it , but still have'nt had a reply via FB or Aldi customer service about my "invoice".0

Use the phone number then. As posted on the fb page and as I repeated above. Ring them and COMPLAIN and don't get off the phone until Rachel or Laura have cancelled it. Do not be told you need a receipt from months ago (of course not, who would unless you were a hoarder or something?!).PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

No feelings of guilt - feels like I'm kicking a sick puppy at times - the responses are so lame!0 -

Well, Well, Well
Who says effort doesn't work? Small light at end of tunnel?
Keep on posting, though
Hi everyone. Our customer services team has been responding to people over the past few days about parking enquiries. They’ve been doing this directly as well as answering questions on this page.
During this time, we have also been reviewing our processes and how we work with Parking Eye. Our main priority remains ensuring that there are parking spaces available for Aldi customers.
We’re sorry about any inconvenience that this situation has caused, we have been working hard to review case appeals following this and are investigating the matter with Parking Eye.
We are reviewing how the cark park management system works, which includes the issuing of penalty notices. We will continue to ensure we allow sufficient free parking time for Aldi shoppers and that time limits are clearly sign posted in all stores.
As customer satisfaction is our number one priority we will keep you informed of any developments. In the meantime the team will continue to respond directly to parking enquiries sent to customer-services@aldi.co.uk. Anybody with a parking enquiry should email the team for support.
To ensure the Page environment remains welcoming for all users, we’d like to remind people to be respectful of each other’s views and opinions, and to avoid posting any abusive and confrontational comments.
Thanks again for taking the time to post.0 -

What a cop out !!!
The following is an email reply from The Facebook "team" -
Thanks for your email.
Please be assured that all of your comments and emails have been passed to the Aldi team. However, as I've previously said, the team there aren't able to communicate via emails - to clarify, this means they are not able to communicate with external email addresses such as yours.
If you can send me your postal address or a telephone number, I can ensure someone from the team contact you directly regarding the points you've raised.
Many thanks
Jess
