Latest post on Aldi FB is a scan of a PE PCN where they are claiming the Aldi customer was in the car park on 17 June for 39 minutes, triggering one of their FINES (as previously confirmed in writing by Aldi).

Another clear example of the catastrophe created for the business by their decision to get into bed with the country's most aggressive and avaricious PPC.
How they're now wishing they'd awarded Trev the contract :rotfl:Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .

Some of their customers are now getting annoyed about all the parking posts - could it get any worse for Aldi :rotfl:0

And the scanned letter states that the maximum free allowance is zero hours and zero minutes!Je suis Charlie.0 -

I think the Aldi HO customer service girls are now so shell-shocked that they seem genuinely pleased to get a complaint about dead wasps in the frozen raspberries or mouldy cheese etcPlease note, we are not a legal advice forum. But they are not even from Aldi HQ. John Bulter asked a question yesterday and the first reply is
"Hi John, thanks for your post. To clarify, Weber Shandwick manage the Aldi UK Facebook Page, and this is explained on our About tab here on our Page. Thanks for letting us know some more information about the letter you've sent us - we'll look into this for you now"
As someone commented, 'I think you're managing this page about as well as Parking Eye manage car parks!'0 -

Looks a classic example of a policy developed by half a dozen working groups at a management away day. Looks the part, don't worry too much about what it really says.
You could dismantle this in many respects in the context of how they deal with parking. But this one especially took my eye.ALDI Supplier Standards
We expect our business partners to be in full compliance with all applicable national laws and regulations, industry minimum standards, ILO and UN Conventions where they are consistent with national law, and/or any other relevant statutory requirements.
So Aldi, how come you accept your parking business partner issuing FINES - a totally ILLEGAL action not acceptable under the 'national laws and regulations' of the UK - as you clearly state in your statement on FaceBook:"Our team are happy to look into any case where people feel they've received a fine unfairly - you can send your details through to customer-services@aldi.co.uk and someone will get back to you."
Oh, I also almost forgot the Equality Act - ignorance of the law is not an excuse."Blue Badge Holders should register their blue badge with the Store Manager. This will allow them to shop in the store for a longer period of time. Please note that the terms and conditions of using the car park still apply, i.e. that it is for use whilst shopping in store only".Please note, we are not a legal advice forum.
