Probably because they are cheap, people will put up with a lot because of that, though public anger is increasing, it's only a matter of time before parking eye are dumped

Many have, but don't forget that this campaign has only been going since 19th June.

If you'd been slammed for £70 - £100 for a few minutes overstay, would you go back and shop there? I would imagine that 99% of these customers wouldn't go anywhere near the place again - ever.

Because I gain a number of ways - I get some cheap shopping ( I am very selective though ), when I break the T&Cs, which I ignore anyway, I get to email Parking Eye a teasing email ( they know who I am and so never bother sending an invoice ) and I get to keep a close eye on Aldi and Parking Eye ensuring they don't try to change signs or slip in a sneaky planning permission change request ( which I objected to when they did a couple of months ago and the council threw out the request ).

Sometimes it pays to sleep with the enemy ;)

According to the FB page the OP has had here charge cancelled but the person she spoke to at ALDI denies that there is a letter which mentions the £30 minimum spend. So it looks as though PE are out of control and are doing things ALDI are not aware of.
What part of "A whop bop-a-lu a whop bam boo" don't you understand?
  • But there is a copy of the letter on the site. Pillocks.
