Expect a copy and paste reply from Aldi facebook team ( if anything at all is given)From the Plain Language Commission:
"The BPA has surely become one of the most socially dangerous organisations in the UK"0 -
I've just done similar with Sainsbury's fb page who use Euro Car Parks to run their parking at our local store.
It was my pregnant wife overstaid the prescribed time, which we only became aware of once the PCN had fallen through the letterbox.0 -
What a great way to run a customer-facing business.
Better than not telling the shoppers they have to input the vehicle details into the machines.
A much better system would be to hand the car-park over to the council (who has a large car-park next-to it), and charge everybody the P&D fee and then refund the P&D fee when they have spent £5. (Similar to Asda and Lidl in my local town).
But Aldi would never do that, they love getting the kick-backs from parking eye0 -
PePiPoo is showing a letter from PE (but with an Aldi logo) confirming that there is a "secret" £30 minimum spend rule in their T&C's . How on earth can it be deemed that you have accepted those T&Cs if you don't know the full details? What part of "A whop bop-a-lu a whop bam boo" don't you understand?0

It will never hold up in a court, secret clauses like this can't hold any waterWhen posting a parking issue on MSE do not reveal any information that may enable PPCs to identify you. They DO monitor the forum.
We don't need the following to help you.
Name, Address, PCN Number, Exact Date Of Incident, Date On Invoice, Reg Number, Vehicle Picture, The Time You Entered & Left Car Park, Or The Amount of Time You Overstayed.

Councils can only enforce tickets on land they own so it will never happen.0 -

Have you got a linky to the pic, as I think that could help people with court claim defences. I have encouraged people to argue that this is a hidden term (a misleading omission) which makes a contract unenforceable when relying upon that term to the specific detriment of the person who was 'in the dark'.
Breach of the CPUTR 2008.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Here you go CM. It's quite busy on the Aldi FB page about this - generating a good bit of steam.
http://forums.pepipoo.com/index.php?act=attach&type=post&id=25475Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .
I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.
