Almost forgotten, due to rather more exciting removal of kitchen ceilings (yes, two...one under t'other, but we knew) and 18' steel beam.
Now the middle of the main roof is just sitting on 3 Acrow props until the new steel beam arrives next Wednesday.......
I didn't realise just how much space a kitchen ceiling's worth of loft insulation would take up, but the old ferret run 10'x3'x7' is rammed with it! :rotfl:
The van is full of plasterboard while I decide whether to skip it or put it in one of those 1.5 tonne hippo bag things....
We got the big lintel down using nothing more than nylon rope and our builder's special slip knot. I was bricking it, but he had gravity under control. Now we have gravity to overcome to get it out the window.....:rotfl:
......and onto the Bay!
P.S. No sign of the drainage expert appointed by the other party to investigate the issues we've been having.......but I'm sure he'll be along dreckly.0 -

Anybody, except President Putin, I think, and even he could use a disguised user name, like 'Vladimirkremlin,' and we might never guess.
Seriously, what part of Devon, when you're here? You don't have to be specific, bottom, middle or top will do.
I'm in the middle, in the bit that no one knows about, thank goodness!0 -
Right, back to the gardening...0

Incredible lightening last evening and through the night, what did I say about power cuts? Just a couple of little ones but made me laugh. Every thing in the house needs resetting though....even out silly cooker likes the time set.
Good for the 'terrace' mind you, sand driven a little further between cracks now.
Otoh, the top soil in the beds has sunk right down. Like deflated soufllee.0 -
morning all,
LIR I think we had one tiny bit of lightening in the distance, and that was it, unless didn't see it because I was in the land of nod lol..
IHS.. I bet you are relieved at the vote.. funny enough we had a friend over last night to help with some work that needed doing, and afterwards we were in the caravan, having a drink and talking about it, if there was a split, it really would have opened a can of worms, as in sorting things out etc.. but on the other hand.. if wales was in that situation, I might have voted yes, without realising the complications it could cause...Work to live= not live to work0 -
Welcome Babafette, where are you on your daydreamer journey?

I agree Rummer, I think this did send shock waves through the government, and hopefully make them realise it isn't all about England...I def think because of the vote.. things will change
the wholesaler phoned me, ok by mistake as she though she was phoning someone else, but she did ask if I had her email, which I hadn't. she did say they had updated their system, and last night she had 37 emails come through in 10 seconds lol.. so she I going to get the office to email me again..
talk about all or nothing...
