afternoon all,
where has this week gone? its flown by..
picking up a 3 pce suite from a friends parents, they were selling it, but now that they need to empty the house as it is sold, he wanted to borrow one of our vans to take it to the tip, along with some other furniture, so we are going to have it..lol its a 1960's/70' green velour thing, has some signs of wear, but for us, as long as it is comfy I don't care... will have to try and store it in work, on top of other crap lol until we need it at the ranch..
couldn't miss that bargain...
think we should have bought something with a huge barn, not a big brick built shed lolWork to live= not live to work0 -

Still, looks like an absolutely huge, well-loved event.

Terrace ( see, I'm going all proper now, like) is FINISHED. Raised bed to finish, a bit of finishing with mortar, and some gravel for hidden bits because its a proper job like.
Too dark to take pics, will try and get some tomorrow pm.0 -
I'm beginning to realise that having a smallholding means that you will have a To Do List as long as your arm with no prospect of ever finishing it - is that the Good Life? Or is it just Life?0

:rotfl: not only is the list is never ending but every new thing added on usually requires three other things to happen before the first thing can be done, so its growth is exponential  Sorry Rozeedidn't mean to depress you
I just wish my DH would realise this and not look so underwhelmed when nothing seems to have changed in the two months between his home visits, yet I know I've been working all day every day...FOR FREE!!!
But I have the upper hand this time, I've done loads and he will be amazed :rotfl:
I keep referring to my Chinese Puzzle which is what happens when the list gets horribly complicated, too many things relying on too many other things and you've got too much stuff that will be useful one day but for now it's getting in the way!
I am definitely on the way out of this particular maze, only a couple of corners to go. I'm finishing all the things I started weeks, months and even years ago, it's very empowering!
Hang in there Rozee :A0 -
Small holdings , like gardens, or old houses, never 'finish'. Merely move on to next phase of attack or maintaining.
Why on earth I thought I could juggle all three god only knows, lol.0 -
