Luceille poor you, hope you had a good slob out and cry in the bath, but as Alfie said, be proud of him to wanting to go an do something, most kids these days just want to sit on their butt in front of a computer screen..

been doing some snooping, and pricing with the company I am going to have a meeting with on Friday, don't think anything will become of it, as they are selling out the product way cheaper than I can sell it to them for.. not looking good, BUT I will go for the experience..( gulps)

They are a price, CTC, but I'll find the link for you. We actually wanted something else more expensive, lol, but these are a good choice I think. :) they are different thicknesses, so a bit annoying to lay for a modern product. Fir has laid ungraded slate tiles that looked fabulous, but they were cheap to compensate!

Hmmm.....the septic tank's shared outflow has blocked again.

Last time the neighbour's landlady accused me of panicking, so this time I will shove it all into her court, after I've done a bit more investigation. I know our tank is fine. Anyway, with the caravan drainage done a few weeks ago, we have another tank and system!:rotfl:

If we have to replace the outflow and drainage, it will mess our garden up a bit, so I'll go for another hot rodding first. In the meantime, it might be worth reading up on bio-discs.

I'm beginning to think that sharing anything like this is more bother than it's worth. If we were to go bio, we'd be totally independent and the run out could then be useful. D'you know if we could run it into a pond, lir? Might as well get a 'feature' like that if we have to make the switch. :)

Yes, you can run into a pond, we do. You can also run into a ditch or a waterway! Or, as I want to, have a switch on it to be automatic waterer in summer months.

I absolutely wouldn't share facilities like that, for the reasons you are having now, and worse examples of the ilk.

Thanks. Just don't forget they have to be planted too!

Years ago, the council offered free bags of 250 daffs to all the schools in our city.

Muggins here thought, "Oh, nice idea! :A" and put in for one.

    I got five!

Some weeks later, my class had planted almost* 1250 daffs in land where an ordinary bulb planter wouldn't work.:( We had to bring in spades for the job.

Looked bloomin' good every spring thereafter though.:D

    * I say 'almost,' because I know a few were used in impromptu games of shovel cricket! :rotfl:

I keep meaning to ask you, Dave

For smaller narcissi like Tete a Tete 8/10 is a larger enough bulb?

One of the very cheapy store has 10 for 99p/£1 at the mo. TaT and Minnow I think. Just was not sure about the size?

I'm afraid I have no idea :o, but maybe IHS would know?

I plan to put some daffs in the streamside/woodland area, but the way things are, it might not be this year. We're reasonably covered elsewhere, though others see them more than us.

Good. I knew they could go into ditches/moving water, and I suspected ponds would be OK. :)

What I want to do is get a temporary solution for now, then do the bio thingy when we work on the drains next year. Then, if the run-out soakaway is knackered, it won't be our problem any more. :p

We already know that next door have far more running through the system than we ever do, so my sympathies are pretty thin.

Worst case scenario is that we need a new soakaway right now, so we do it, pay half, then leave it to others in a year's time.

Either way, it will mess up some of our garden, but we've always accepted that could happen. :(
  • That size seems the norm for Tete a Tate
