I always wondered what happened to Demis Roussos....:D
It's the day of the Village Produce Show, so we've been arranging our entries in the Hall. I'm quietly confident about my peppers, which have never been better.
Everything else is in the lap of the judges....:eek:0 -
Oooooh good luck Dave!Taking responsibility one penny at a time!0

afternoon all,
what a lovely day!!
Hubby is on a memorial ride out with the local bikers, so I was left to go to small poultry auction by MYSELF (HAHAHAHA dangerous move lol)
so ended up buying
an adults push bike for £3 ( going to get hubby blow up the tyres etc and see if we can flog it on to make a few pennies.
bought a lovely ornate ironwork scroll thing for a £1 ( Alfie you will love it, will try and take some pics when its out of the van)
also bought a few other bits 'n' pieces.
PLUS.. I bought these things for £6 each.. instant raised beds!!! ( fed up of asking hubby to make them lol) as you can see they are the length of the transit, so ideal sizeWork to live= not live to work0 -
some more pics..
we have got a small apple tree, which we haven't taken any notice of this year, and yesterday we noticed we have APPLES!!! only about 10 - 12 lol... one came off easily, so we started eating it,,, it is soooo sharp.. and dry, but it doesn't look like a cooking apple?? so should we leave them a bit longer???
Also a pic of the progress in the ranch... Carpenter should be here at the end of the month... so will have the floor back in etcWork to live= not live to work0 -

Ctc, could it be a cider apple?
Cannot believe how quickly you make progress at the ranch.. Looking splendid.

Super day here, let me carry on moving plants about in the garden and get more of the bulbs planted.
Eye-catching sunset with us last night; only lasted a few minutes before the colour faded -0 -
Cold and rainy here - quite fresh Autumnal feel to the day. But working so didn't mind at all.
CTC - you are cracking on a pace.
Lovely sky IHS.0 -
thanks LIR...
we are slowly plodding along... and trying to do things sympathetically etc.. for me personally its all about the stonework with this house...sadly we are losing one chimnley but I have heard you can buy/get dummie ones to put in its place..
what I have in my mind what I would like the house to be like inside, might to be to everyones taste...and people might think I am mad...
I am till trying to think/find which way we can 'hide' electrical wiring etc.. it will not be to bad in some places due to the tongue and grove/insulation etc.. was thinking maybe routed out batton and stain it etc.. no way do we want to trace it into the stonework/lime mortar as I personally think this is just asking for trouble in the future, which if we hadn't cut off ALL the electric at the box, and only got 1 live socket coming from the main box, we might have had some serious injuries ..
Ok apart from foxes what else would make a high pitch wining type noise in the middle of the nights??? as nearly every night now, we can hear this noise.... do badgers make a similar noise to foxes??Work to live= not live to work0 -

Always wanted to grow Joe Pie Weed, but my gardens have always been really too small for such a giant perennial.:rotfl::rotfl:
