Good to see you around again, phoebe.:)
Lila had her first bird yesterday, despite wearing a bell. The robin she brought in to us was bit indignant, but otherwise unharmed. That's what our Daisy used to do: just bring them in, and provided we were at home, no problem. Not a happy ending if we were out!
Saw one scaffolder yesterday. None of the others replied. :(Luckily, he seemed pretty OK.
Met with plasterers too. These come recommended, but they are hardly local, being from the north coast. Nice guys.0 -
Some progress0

Alfie when I saw that on the news I did wonder if it was near you & also with the mention of horses if you knew her.
I have to agree with Dave- these crimes are usually done by someone close - stranger crimes of abuse & violence are rare. But stay safe.
Pottering yesterday & ended up having to lift the tatties as the haulms looked like blight had struck - which it had. My back did ache even though it wasn't many plants, but not been digging for a while.
My onions are also rubbish - not been a good year for those - always grow beauties so don't know what went wrong there.0 -
You're making massive progress LIR.
Is that a phoshourescence [sp?] on the brick?0 -

Alfie when I heard the news I panicked..for a split second I thought it was you...
Davesnave... l love your sink... we were thinking of having a Belfast sink on bricks....
Well just come back from the auction... 4 of the boglins have gone... there were loads and loads of piglets there...which were bring silly high money... loads of porkers there too, that went for silly money... our pigs didn't hit dizzy high prices, but we were pleased with what we had for them considering the amount of pigs there..
so watching the warm ups of the Italian grand prix... having a chill out for 5 mins.. and then doing some work..Work to live= not live to work0 -

CTC, you are welcome to our sink, which has more chips in it than Harry Ramsden's. :rotfl:It's one of our pet hates. We shall be having a nice, hygienic stainless steel one, with no character whatever.
While that piccie is there, the builder is in the cupboard we're removing to make a larger dining area. To do that, we need to remove the big beam, but we can't until the roof comes off......
.....And we can't replace the beam until the blooming engineer gives us his calculations, which are still outstanding.
Scaffolding arrives on the 17th and roof comes off regardless.0 -

Will you be keeping any through the winter?
Do you think the prices reflect people's optimism, or is it impossible to know why the prices go up & down?
Glad you were happy with the prices you achieved.0
