Lack of energy is a frustrating thing. Sometimes it can happen before you have to be really busy because of something happening. It's as if you are really gathering energy in for a big surge...if that makes sense?0

I was super tired today after a few (rudely) early starts this week so I had a delightful nap this afternoon and am feeling marginally better
No time in the garden as a result however I did pop out to admire my fence which looks grand after all the work the other day. Hopeful to keep doing wee bits over the next few weeks to ensure that everything is ready fro spring timeTaking responsibility one penny at a time!0 -
morning all,
Rummer, a little power nap in the afternoons, sometimes does the world of good...
At the moment I don't know how or where the time is flying. lol, before we know it, it will be Christmas... and as Davesnave has already heard the 'P' word being mentioned.. it is def on its way very fast lol...
Not much to mention here, except fingers crossed nothing goes wrong this time, but some of the boglins will be going to market this Friday...
I am thinking of digging trenches and putting leaf mould, pig poo/bedding in there through the winter, ready for the runner beans and peas next year...Work to live= not live to work0 -
Fell asleep soon after dark last night....:o
Hugs to all of you who have pains. Mine are better, but I'll obviously have to watch out for the signs....:o
Not much to report, except that there has been a big resurgence in thistles, which I'm dealing with. They weren't in evidence in spring, so dunno why now....
We have begun building the new front door/porch, and at the same time we've attacked the front of the kitchen, having already stolen one of the windows to use elsewhere. Now we want the lintel, which is modern and under 10 years old.
The whole of the kitchen frontage has been built in the lighter Celcon-type blocks, not just the inner skin. We may have to continue in those. Luckily, I picked-up 21 free ones a month ago to add to my own stash, but we still won't have enough. Warmer though....:)
DD1 has won a bed on eBay....in Brixham! Think I might be visiting the South Coast.
Village produce show Saturday. May be embarrassing, but at least my peppers are record-breakers. Everything else is neglected........0 -

Sorry!:o:o We have the first read-through just before Christmas, so I mentally associate it with the festive season. The actual performances don't happen till near the end of February.
Looked at the diary a minute ago and noticed, not only is the car's MoT due next Monday , but the word "Costumes" has been pencilled-in for Thursday.
This means that someone knows who's playing the parts....:think:0 -
I've accepted autumn, in that I have put my early autumn/ late summer wreath ( blackberries) on the door instead of the summer one.
There are all the wonders of autumn to enjoy before winter.
I have been thinking about planting russian sage for winter stems next year. Can you use it for anything apart from bee enjoyment?
The herb garden was going to be roughly divided in to any possible culinary use and not plausibly culinary herbs, with the culinary being the bigger and professional area. Now I'm not so sure. Its also got to sub divide in to shade tolerant/ northern hemispherish and sun loving a bit because of orientation! And of course it want it to look nice! I mainly know where the mints are going, lol.

Garlic is a good companion plant for roses, my guess is that any allium would do well. So spring onions? Chives? Garlic chives?0 -
Big hole in my roof is fixed!!!0
