Well Spider, ole cat just passed away incredibly peacably in his sleep. What a splendid fellow he was.

He got it right. That's how we all should go, after a long happy life. :A

Impossible to completely replace a long-standing companion, I know, but there's always plenty out there, willing to give it a go, ......when you're ready. :)

Davesave is right, 2 years on from our 'Rocky Dog' going, Youngest (18 yrs) and I are cwtched up on the sofa talking about another dog... he wants a small dog so the cats can play with it lol

But the timing still isn't right for us yet... too much going on to to give the puppy/dog our full attention.

VERY clammy here too Alfie... naughty horsies lol....

Think we will be staying up farm tonight, its cooler in the caravan, plus we can open the windows lol... here if we want to open windows or doors we got to put the cats in the kitchenand shut the door, but after not too long they start mewing and scratching the door, so they can wonder back round the house again...

Weather muggy with me too, I was sure it was going to rain so decided not to go to a garden open for Scotland's Gardens.

There's very, very, very few open gardens in Scotland compared to the 'yellow book' listings in England so it's a shame to miss it, but it would have been nearly an hour each way in the car.

Instead I transplanted geranium seedlings from a patch where I had thrown them onto the ground last year, I reckon there's 10 germinated.

Even though we had rain overnight, the ground is very dry and quite a few water-stressed plants are showing mildew and even the lawn is showing some straw-coloured areas.
