Had visitors this morning so running late with all the jobs I intended to do.
Tomorrow we have the structural engineer and the building inspector, plus a couple of old grannies, so should be a fun time for all!
DD1 was panicking a bit regarding her new house, as she's moving in soon, but there's still no kitchen or bathroom. However, now we think there will be a loo & shower on time, even if no sink. DW is going up there with DD2 to lend a hand with the move. She was hoping to use a B&B, but it's graduation ceremony time.....
Luckily, the van will take a couple of camp beds! :rotfl:0 -

Good- oh lucielle.
Has he had one before?
They are a little claustrophobic. You cannot wear metal in them, no watch wedding ring / piercings/ belt/ zips. He might have a choice of own clothes, if he wants to do that it rules out stuff with flies, so, joggers and a t. Can I also say. Make sure pants are super comfy, nothing worse than the idea of being stuck in that tube with nothing to think about but the wrinkle on on your pants with no way to resolve it. They'll ask about things like surgeries involving pins/ plates/ implants/ pacemakers I think. ( cannot remember). He might get some music played.
If his head is being scanned he'll have a sort of head piece put on. Totally painless, but just a little more claustrophobic. Word to the wise, giggling and talking incoherently about Hannibal lector doesn't go down that well.
He'll have mirror placed so that he can see out. For me its just easier to keep my eyes shut if the mirror is wrong, as I dislike the moving of the thing, but if don't mind being in there, its quite snug and cosy once you're in.0 -

Our local postmen do a lot of things as sidelines: chimney sweeping, boiler servicing, fencing and hedge cutting being a few of them, but scans........
Seriously though, that's brilliant news. Nothing worse than waiting for medics. :beer:0 -
when i had my scans i asked them NOT to ask me if i was ok every 2 minutes and then listened to the machines "beat" and went back to my days of being in a tent at a rave festival
:rotfl: 1st time they were all :rotfl: when they had to wake me up ! i told em i felt like a xmas turkey emerging from the oven...:D i agree with keeping eyes shut [but then i would as i fall asleep
] treat it as a speck of sand, time wise, in the .whole picture of things

CTC.... dont forget that these councillers have to have someone complain and give them ahem...cough...facts ,before they.. act ?? so me finks mr twonk may be passing the buck... he may not have made the calls but maybe sowed the seeds ??0

Yep mr Twonk is great at loading the gun with bullets for someone else to shoot
I phoned the councillor... he is now cacking himself, as he said it was done unofficially.. lol.. I told him I want everything in writing about the complaint, and what actions he took, when he asked why, and I told him about the harassment route, he then told me he wil have to ask his legal team about it..
Also when I told him about mr twonk strimming Jap knotweed which is right by the stream and some went in there he was on his high horse about that ( told him that before anything about the pigs) sooooo I am also going to push now for Mr Twonk to be done for it .... how the worm can turn hahaha....
So going to meet him here on Monday... and I asked if he could bring the paperwork I requested with him... Me thinks his butt is now well and truly twitching..
as the way I see it ( I might be wrong) if it wasn't classed as an official complaint, then it was the council that were harassing us on that occastion??Work to live= not live to work0 -
