Alfie - you've been busy.
I have a massive thing coming to head that's been bubbling up for years & it's a real head bucker, but will be great once it's played out. It's been wearing & caused a big load of grief for us for many years.
Raining hard now & the poor sheep out in the open with their lambs......ahhhhhh. I always feel slightly guilty about that.0 -
Just been sitting alone in front porch (OH is out clubbing) and spotted a couple of bats flying over. :j
Lettuce in pot by front door got a bit nibbled last night, OH found 3 fat slugs sitting under the pot... They now re-homed in the green bin to go to the Otterspool Tip in a couple of weeks. Doubtless they will be joined by more of their brethren, and their cousin snails!
Tomorrow is hair cut day, we are not at the lottie as much as we should be.And then we hope to get off to caravan soon, so lottie will be neglected just when all weeds coming up. Plus it looks as if we'll have rain here over weekend, so more grist to the mill for the weeds! We are all behind on everything.
But the alliums in back garden are gorgeous, as are the roses in front garden. And the purple geraniums in back look fantastic, and the fox and cubs against them magic!
Lawn needs mowing again already though! :rotfl:
Hugs from Liverpool to you all! :grouphug:0 -
Forgot to say had a good view of Mars, and the moon coming round to front of house from the trees beside neighbours,
Off to bed shortly now!0 -
you can tell the sun is out, its quiet on here lol.
interesting day today in work.... had a prop buyer come and visit... so I have loads of things whirling through my brain at mo...
it is so hot at mo, going to wait until later to do some bits out the garden...
it must be hot, as we are now making one of the piggy runs wet lol,, so they can have a mud bathWork to live= not live to work0 -
Been overcast here since mid-morning and looks like being much the same for the next week......If you've have not made a mistake, you've made nothing0

Far too hot and sunny here!
I'm so glad we're keeping the kitchen/diner where it is. An oasis of cool.
Just going mad to get everything ready for the building chaps on Monday. Had to cut down a pear tree that was fan trained (once!:o) against the garage and remove another freezer etc.
I took down our nest box there too. I knew there was nothing alive in it, and that some time back, a baby blue tit had fallen and died. Looked inside and there were 4 more dead babies.:( A few weeks ago we noticed both parents going to the box with food and then leaving with it again, so we guessed something was wrong. Maybe the unseasonably hot weather? It was shaded much of the day.
Hope lir is OK. I won't be on-line tomorrow till later.0 -
Rained very heavily since first thing, but stopped now although very overcast - very heavy thundery feel.
What happened to Rhiwfield? Is he still about?0 -
I'll have a snoop as it's FLW on there I believe.
So low cloud & tried to weed earlier but eaten alive. My garden is a disgrace. Working tomorrow so spent hours ironing bedding - blerggggggg.
I hate ironing especially Egyptian cotton you almost have to incinerate it to get the creases out - what a waste of a good few hours.................0 -
I'm busy here clearing rooms for painting. There has been so much dust generated over the course of the build. It's heartwarming to see the walls being undercoated then coloured. The inner hall is now sky blue which works really well to brighten it up. OH is managing to do a room or area every day or every other day and he is a star. Saved us fortunes and done the sort of meticulous job that no painter and decorator I've ever met would have done. Tomorrow it's the stairwell and then it's the bedrooms. I have absolutely no idea what colours they are to be painted, so I'd better get my thinking cap on!
As exciting as it is for your work to begin, I confess I feel a sense of trepidation for you, Dave, and I'm pleased you have been able to take more time than we did in the planning. We have done a few things twice and that's expensive and frustrating.....
Isn't the weather amazing? Winter seems like a distant, bad, memory.
Congratulations, Maggie. That is the sign of a successful life in my book0
