'Musical plants' with me today, although the heavy showers were annoying.
The wilting clematis 'Freckles' was removed from the pergola, getting replaced by Chaenomeles x superba 'Jet Trail' I'd had in the east facing border since last year. Reckon I'll repot the clematis and park it for a few months and see what happens.
That allowed me to move the magnolia from the damp, deep shade of north border where it had been sulking and put in a boring old Aucuba japonica 'Crotonifolia'.
The poorly acer has been replaced by a golden yew Taxus baccata 'Standishii' which had better do well as it was ££s!
The 'over' tulips got swapped for dahlias 'Bishop of Llandaff' from the coldframe.
Finally got around to planting the raspberry canes which had been in pots for weeks and weeks....0 -
You must be feeling pleased with that frontage now, CTC! :T0

BUT in all honesty that is down to me... haven't had the best time over the last few months, so haven't been full force trying to get funds in...
Alfie... that could be an option... will try and take some better pics over the next day or so...Work to live= not live to work0 -

We seems to have a huge number of ferns that have appeared from nowhere and they are all over the garden. Not really sure what to do with them, I might move some to the places where I would like them however there are loads!Taking responsibility one penny at a time!0 -

I away to google combi micro waves. We have a low electrickery supply so I am thinking of getting one as opposed to a calor gas oven which I have at present. Does anyone know any good ones. Can you bake in them?
choille
I was given a Remoska - basically a pan with a heated lid; http://www.remoska.co.uk/
The old version did not exactly do crisp skinned chicken unless you remembered to lift the lid to let the steam out a few times but is a great lower energy way of making an oven bake or stew for two or three. Chicken bits and root veggies is a meal in aboiut 30 minutes. It will toast if you llift the lid a few times.
Now I would certainly look at a halogen oven which is cheaper to buy and quicker to cook. Also the tempurature is adjustable and the bowl is glass.
However, if you have a limited electrical supply is halogen 1200-1400 watts maximum (nothing to stop you using it at lower tempuratures) and the remoska is 400 watts. If you've have not made a mistake, you've made nothing0
