Hmmm I like some of the comedy ones including Shaun of the Dead and Cockneys vs Zombies. There are also ones like 28 Days Later although I preferred the sequel 28 Weeks Later They are fast moving zombies which are less endearing than the slow ones that always seem to catch people even though they are lacking in co-ordination :rotfl:Taking responsibility one penny at a time!0

When do you get your x-ray results Dave?
ETA: Dave I'm sure you looked just as fetching in your backless gown as you did in your Emperor costume for the panto;)
Summer-ish here too.It won't last.
Trees arrived and we planted 20 hazels before lunch and heeled the rest in.
I was told X ray results won't be with Dr before Monday. I nearly replied, "Oh my, the wonders of modern communication!" but it would have been ungrateful (and probably misunderstood!)
It's all a mess. If first doc had ordered an X ray as well as a scan, I could have had them same place, same day. However, it gets me out of the house.
I shall see the Panto DVD tonight, when we all meet up for a viewing. Based on that, I'll either sign up for next year, or resign. I believe we already have a writer, which is half the battle.
Never did get zombies. We used to go to all the Dracula and Frankenstein movies when I was a teenager, but they were so bad, they were funny.
The most scary thing that happened was when an old pensioner, who used to sleep in the front row, had his alarm clock go off in a quiet bit. Happened often as he was there every night. He was a resident at the old person's home and had to be back by 9.30, so I suppose he never saw the end of anything! :rotfl:0 -

They owe more than a nod to this guy, Fritz Lang (1926), made a bit more accessible with a modern soundtrack in 1984.....:T

 de-lurking again. Hello everyone. I do hope Alfie and others return soon, even though I don't post much I miss everyone.
CTC looks like you have some intriguing plans a foot, can't wait to hear and see them
Rummer I'm so impressed with how much you do with a baby. I have friends who tell me if I'm ever lucky enough to have kids I won't be able to do my garden the way I do now,, but there you are, proving them wrongoh and I'm loving the zombie talk-we are massive walking dead fans. Living in warwick I've earmarked the castle as our best bet, once cleared of walkers. We have even gone so far to think what friends and family could become part of the group and what their roles could be! Ido you think this is normal lol
Dave I hope your results comes ok , I'm waiting on hospital results myself. They sure don't rush!
I've been slowly working on the garden, planting lots of seeds for flowers and veg. I love seed planting but all the potting on becomes tedious after a while. I still feel lost in parts of this garden (it isn't massive by any means) because it's so established but hasn't been looked after and we have nearly all the perennial weeds. Creeping buttercup has gone crazy this year, grrrr.
But there was a revelation last night. Chatting away to hubby who said his friends partner would like a small holding and to keep horses. He then said I've been thinking more and more about you wanting one and we aren't getting any younger, I would like a change of lifestyle so let's think about it. I nearly fell off my chair! Not sure how we would go about it even and it won't be yet, but it's certainly positive noises that were welcome to hear :j0 -
Fay the sounds like great news.
CTC thankyou for the parcel, it arrived looking very healthy.

Exciting stuff re the smallholding - sounds like your DH has had a 'lightbulb' moment:D:D
Have you seen Season 4 of TWD ? Oh dear I am obviously behind the curve - I haven't worked out where we would go in the event of TWD - ummm. There is Highpoint Prison & Mr BD has been there when he was a delivery driver (and got locked in on a couple of occasions when there was an escape ) Rummer I enjoyed the 28 Days/Weeks films too, but haven't tried the others you mentioned, thanks for the recommendations.
Shed move went sucessfully:D:D makes the garden look bigger now. Lovely and sunny today. Got some friends coming over this evening, breadmaker is on which always makes the house smell wonderful.
It is a good idea to be alone in a garden at dawn or dark so that all its shy presences may haunt you and possess you in a reverie of suspended thought.

Just popping in to let everyone know I'm OK, just not posting due to the continuation of the work problems. It'll be resolved in a month or two, which will be good. DH's health is not good at the mo, he's in quite a bit of pain which didn't really change when we had a week's holiday in the sun. I think he needs more than a week, so I'll have to see what we can do for next month.
For Mothers Day I asked for potting compost so I can plant seeds this weekend. I am going to try some of those purple tomatoes this year that are supposed to be beneficial for those who have conditions that the red ones aggravate. I have a pound shop tayberry to go in a pot, and will be sowing peas and spinach! I want to take it slow and steady to have crop succession - well that's the plan.
BD - I recommend From Dusk Til Dawn (a film), I think you'd like it if you haven't seen it.
Hugs to everyone, I too hope Alfie is back soon!
