Congratulations, CTC, you'll soon be hearing the patter of little boglet trotters! :j:beer:

The rain held off here, and although it didn't feel that warm in the afternoon, it looks like it hit 15c. Anyway, we were lucky enough to get the rest of the fresh tree consignment planted, so that only leaves the big shrubs now. :D

Rummer, it's no good looking at me for advice on successional sowing. I have gaps and I forget what I've planted. Only sheer quantity and a freezer gets me through. :o

That's probably true for me too, but I don't want to be doing groundworks over Easter hols! So came in covered with mud, but at least 50% is done and the biggest perennials divided/moved, made 5 plants of the Centaurea Montana (perennial coneflower). Am really hating the solid clay in this garden.

Am now finding which plants can cope with saturated clay ground and which don't want to know - the Cotinus (smoke bush) is certainly sulking

We have this in our front garden and we have found grasses, aquilegia, some heathers and roses have survived with many of the grasses flourishing. However many things have quietly drowned :(

hahahaha.... you are not the only one... I thought I was, but it was the change kicking in....lol

hubby and I are on tender hooks.... I am on maternity duty, while he is doing his biker duty and has gone to a local biker club party, just to say hello and then will be back..

It has been a hell of a week

last sunday.. an ambulance and police car came down the lane to the ranch... some drunk person ha fallen further down past our house on the footpath,

Then on Thursday... hubby was on his way home from picking the roofing sheets up, and just in front of him, a car took a corner too quick and ended up on its roof, so he had to help, direct traffic and stay on the scene until the police and ambulance turned up ( at least half hour before the police turned up, ambulance still hadn't turned up when he left)

and now we are waiting for the boglets arrival... just hope everything goes ok,

    will take loads of pics...

I just shared some photos of our back garden on another thread (LiR will have seen them already), so am going to link as can't be bothered to re-copy and paste stuff and so on. :o;)

We moved the daturas out into the front garden today. The big one was hitting the roof of the porch, and the smaller one was just in the way. Plus both had piles of fungus gnat in their compost... I'm hoping the sudden shock of being outside and colder will see them off! But suspect not.

Thinking of just planting the bigger one into the ground out the front. Basically it's kill or cure - it's too big for inside the house now. Plus it's so poisonous I don't want it inside when the GrandKids visit. We'll see how much the smaller one grows this summer - it might manage another winter in the porch if it doesn't grow too tall!
