We had a lovely sunny morning and it is now chucking it down again!
Its been lovely here too here, I've grown open some windows but just greyed over so I made 'lectric men some coffee then closed the windows.
The good weather is almost as frustrating.. Its so mild and the baby weeds are popping up, I want to get out and weeeeeeeeeed but the ground is so wet it would be a terrible thing to do.

Well I went, don't know if I was a help or a hindrance lol...
Typical there was the most pigs I have ever seen there...
One of our pigs knocked her ear tag, so it was bleeding, anyway ended up getting £60 each for the 2 sows and £40 for the boar... there was a bit of a hoohaaa, and the guy who wanted to buy the boar, had a moan as the auctioner sold him, and didn't see him bidding... so he ended up paying the guy who bought him and extra £5 for him...so at least he is going to have some girlfriends for a while..
Don't know how much the sellers fees are, am a bit disappointed with the price, BUT some of the pigs a fraction smaller than ours were only going for £10...
The weaner prices were totally erractic ranging from £1 to £50 each....
Weatherwise its been dry, and quite sunny.... totally different to what they forecasted for us.. so maybe that will come later...
A bit quiet on here lately... hope everyone is ok.... Thinking about you lot that haven't posted for a while....Work to live= not live to work0 -
what is it with pigs this afternoon, watching the alan T show, and there is a pig farmer with 2000 pigs on there, along with that Jimmy Doughety guy, THEN there is a advert with a talking pig..lol... is this a sign????Work to live= not live to work0

Took the chickens some grape slices and spaghetti this afternoon :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
Got the Olympics opening ceremony on.....doubt I'll manage to watch it all if other Olympic opening ceremonies are anything to go by;)
Hope all dreamers are warm and dryIt is a good idea to be alone in a garden at dawn or dark so that all its shy presences may haunt you and possess you in a reverie of suspended thought.

An Mse friend gave me the magic silver bullet to the heart of davesvave's pole friends, Today after more frustration we fired it, the phone has been busy ever since with immense apology and promise to rectify and have a plan by Monday morning.
Pow. Wish I'd been less patient now. I must stop giving people second chances.0 -
Yesterday when I couldn't make calls I asked DH to order a guinea fowl for me to collect tomorrow.
He's on ths phone now and told me he ordered two and that the conversation was really weird because he said to them 'you cannot really have one can you?' And they said ' cannot you?' And he said 'no it wouldn't be fair' and they laughed and said 'well, there's that'
The upshot is we're picking up two guinea fowl in the morning andi'm not sure whether they are alive or oven ready.0 -

I wish they'd given it to me!
Basically, my silver bullet was, "Your pole is on my land illegally and I have a friend with the tools to re-position it, if you don't act inside 28 days!" :rotfl:0 -

It will be that bit easier next time.
I didn't like taking our 'naughty' chickens to market. Found myself apologising to them!:o
Even if not good, it sounds as if the price could have been worse.
I've been quiet because we've had friends from the old place visiting, en route to a break on the coast (!) It was sunny and firm underfoot on the top field. Chickens are daily re-enacting the Battle of the Somme, however, but nonetheless egg production is pretty good.
Apart from putting a temporary repair on the broken post and cutting wood, I've done nowt.0 -

Yes, well, as a working man, I just couldn't keep up with that one!
I would go out, slave all day and come back to six pages....
Has PN bought anything yet?0
