YES :D I GOT THIS ONE DROPPED 2 BANDS. i played on the repairs needed, the envoirenmentally friendly ...well lack of insulation etc AND found 2 nearby houses of same original band and pointed out the differences ;)

Thanks alfie, that's a great result for you, two bands is impressive ..... I will be aiming for one band which I think is fair given the bandings of other properties nearby, think it is worth a try anyway.

Stay safe overnight, high winds are scary especially the massive gusts - so loud thundering through the trees.

    Party. ;)

    RAS, big dog is ...ok.

I got her opiates today to manage pain, and that's it now. The first results are back from the lab and they are EXCELLENT. The lab confirmed that the margins are good and clean, that all the lump was removed and contained. But she's just not right in her self.

The vet wants me to bathe her in stuff for her skin, which really is not great, but....honestly, I think it would be the last thing for her morale in the current temperature and climate, I was trying to explained about heating and water and I thought the vet was about to call RSPCA.......:(

Earlier when DH and the dogs went out kiwi found a bone on the field and was hurtling around with it. DH out it aside to show me to identify. and only just got round to it. Actually kiwi had found it and eaten half of it. But its definitely deer.

I'm guessing this makes it quite likely our neighbours (more likely than us, but still feels violation of us) have had lamp ers over their land. I'll chat to them tomorrow. I know their plate is full and its the last thing they need.

Been putting together a letter to VOA to appeal against the Council Tax band this house is in, any of you had success in getting a property re banded?

We got ours down a level due to me being disabled and having had downstairs shower room, toilet, basin, installed in this new to us home. Someone came from the council to check we really had it, even though it was all there in the planning ap and then signed off by their Building Control.

If you get DLA it's worth looking at - guess PIP will be similar when it gets going?

Besta luck BD! Hugs from Liverpool.

Thanks ukmaggie :A that's very handy to know. The dining room in this house is used as my 'dayroom' with bed (electric blanket - bliss), TV, lappy etc so I will look into to see if it qualifies. We wouldn't have bought the house if it didn't have this room and a downstairs toilet. I do get DLA (managed to get it uprated just before the PIP deadline - had been putting it off for years - as I hadn't told them within 3 months that my care needs had increased they wouldn't backdate, but I was just relieved that it went through ok)

Alfie are you ok after all the winds last night?

LIR great news re Big Dog, although sorry to hear the pain management isn't quite right atm. My old doggy is on Onsior for her joint pain but we are going to have to take her back to the vets - as she isn't as comfortable as I would like her to be :(. In the meantime I have upped her dose to the max the vets said she could have to see if it helps any. What's wrong with Big Dog's skin? Could you bathe it with a wet sponge (and liberal application of treats as a distraction) a bit at a time rather all in one go so she doesn't get cold and stressed?

De-lurking and I will try to post this year although I'm a total fraud as I don't own a small holding and although I would love to, it would be hubby's idea of a nightmare not a dream.
I wanted to say good luck to Rummer and like everyone else I'm eager to know the news.
I lost my mojo last year with the garden and veg patch but I can feel my fingers itching now for planting. I'm going to check my seeds later but I know I've got no pretty in purple and real seeds aren't doing them this year. So if anyone knows where I can get some I would appreciate the tip. I don't think I'll do potatoes this year as they were so disappointing last year. Although having said that I love the process of them so might do some in bags. That's all for me, for now.

I hope you're all keeping safe. We haven't been too bad here but the river avon has well and truly burst it's banks.
