Hello Fay, I'm a recent de-lurker too lol.

Weather here is calm at the mo, but a dismal day. We have a flood warning for 8 o'clock tonight, hoping it passes without incident, but there's nothing we can do about it but just hope we are lucky again. I couldn't believe that family on the news who were watching the waves on the promenade somewhere carrying a toddler - unbelieveable. I was brought up by the seaside and know how powerful the sea can be.

Yuk Alfie, RATS. We had one under our floorboards many years ago and since then they give me the heebie jeebies, daft I know, but there you go, lol.

Hope Rummer and baby are okay, and I hope everyone is alright during this horrid weather.

Hope everyone has managed to survive another very wet & windy night :o Pleased to hear that Big Dog is doing ok LIR and *Hi* to Fay :) Especially hope all is ok with Rummer and Rumlet :) Can't wait for an update......

Everything's ok here where we are in Wilts, although pretty dull and pouring down still, the wind seems to have dropped a bit though. Like Alfie, I feared for a falling chimney - although not ours, but on the next door property that has been uninhabited since before we purchased this house nearly three years ago.

It's a bit of a ruin - we were hoping to buy it at one point (long story, won't go there) but our plans have changed and it sits empty whilst the bankrupt owner no longer cares/is able to do anything. The chimney in question, whilst not quite of the scale of the Tudor ones on our last house, is very tall and leaning terribly towards our house - mind you if you could see his thatch (lol :rotfl:) that's a whole different issue  - but anyhow, it's still standing which is the most important thing!

We were s'posed to be heading down to see my parents in the nursing home today, but don't fancy a three hour round trip to Portsmouth in the rain/wind with a bouncy dog and even bouncier puppy (and DH doesn't like leaving them home alone for four hours or more, which it would be once you add in time for the visit) particularly as the trip usually involves a walk along Southsea beach

Instead DH is going to catch up on some listing on *the bay* and I'm putting together lists of the work required to finish the project so we can get it ready for sale. Unfortunately I saw a house that might suit our requirements perfectly this week whilst browsing RM......shame we've at least another six months work on this old place :o

I've also got to write a letter to my parents' home regarding their written notification that their fees are increasing by £1000 each per month from Feb......blooming disgusting

Anyhoo, keep safe and gave a good weekend Daydreamers x
