Marking out the herb garden.
Cannot start it because that pole still has to go, a French drain in. But WILL BE DONE FOR NEXT GROWING SEASON.
We're happy with centre beds and far side now, just not sure what we'll do on house side,......it will all become clear, I'm sure, I think we'll go ahead if we haven't sorted house side and then do house side after, because it will fit in.
Of course, my pear trees are in the wrong places now for my design, but, hey ho. I'm chilling about it. It will work. Probably no one will notice but me.
Especially if I go vertical with an arbour or something over the seating area and break the line of vision, lol.,0 -
Wow Dave what a great crop
We should grow peppers but we would need to have them indoors and probably don't have the right conditions.
LIR The garden plans look great, it will be lovely sitting out there in the summer surrounded by all the fragrant herbs sipping something chilled
Popped out to the supermarket and it really is chilly this evening, it was lovely to come home to a bright warm house. I do love that wintery feeling of curling up on the couch and planning the veggie garden and making things out of yarn.Taking responsibility one penny at a time!0 -
I am Absolutely pooped now, had a good sale, but it supposed to be a joinlyt organised between myself and someone else... their attitude towards us when setting up was:mad::mad::mad::mad: will decide either to kick it into touch next month or just poo on them all, and tell then I am doing it all on my own ( Sorry that does sound bad:cool:)

morning all:j
If I have read it right, we might have snow this week:eek::eek: well some places in the country...
After the sale yesterday, it really did make me want to hurry up and get the ranch done, and try and get out of the bl00dy rat race, an the type of industry I am in...but on saying that, we had 2 visits from the council last week, ( 2 different departments on the same day) one saying that someone said we were living there, so the rates people came to check:eek::rotfl:. and the other was about the pigs, as someone told them we were keeping them illegally:mad::mad::mad:. the council didn't even know the address of the property, they only had directions, IF they had our addy they could have checked etc..
So yes as soon as we are living there, there will be a rocking chair right outside the front door, with 'King F' rocking back and fore, playing his banjo;):rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl: (alfie:D)Work to live= not live to work0 -
Ground frost this morning, plenty of ice on car windows.

Not sure what the lo temp in the conservatory was as the remote unit for the min/max thermostat isn't registering on the display after I changed the battery...will need to find instructions.0 -

Incomer Syndrome, CTC?
Having said that, some places just have people who like to poke sticks into other's spokes & make trouble. It's a shame they don't have more to do with their lives.LIR The garden plans look great, it will be lovely sitting out there in the summer surrounded by all the fragrant herbs sipping something chilled
That would be good ....... but experience tells me that, if you have a place with sizeable buildings, land & animals, you just don't really get the time to sit & enjoy it. There's always something needs doing if you want to keep on top of things.0 -
More like 'we don't want pigs near our 'once was a posh estate' houses' stuck up farts...
And as for incomers we are more local than a load of them... we live 4 miles up the road... :rotfl::rotfl: bullooocks to the lot of them...Hubby is talking about putting up wooden fencing on both sides of the path, so when they are walking past/through our land they will not be able to see F all... be like walking through a back alley:D:rotfl: The more I think about it, the more I like his idea:DWork to live= not live to work0 -

There is always someone ready to try and drop you in it, wasting taxpayers' money as they do it.
The thatcher moved his cob brick making machine out of its barn here last week. It hadn't done any work since Mr & Mrs Twit in the barn conversions complained to the council that the thatcher had no PP for manufacturing.
Those idiots couldn't conceive of anything worse than a brick machine running for a few hours each week, but of course the barn could be home to many smelly and noisy livestock operations.
I'm hopeful that the thatcher will stay on. He shares the barn with a builder at present and they both use it for storage. They may not be the tidiest people, but at least they're quiet and they don't smell!
5c here early this morning. Good day in prospect.0
