  • Luceille, don't envy you, could you go round 'testing' them in the shops, and then order on-line?? as some stores you might be able to go through a cashback site???

We've half decided on a Tempur one but which model not sure. So we'll go and look at those and decide, then on the Tempur website you can trial them for 60 days and they also do interest free credit. It's getting beyond a joke as we're both waking up in pain. Some of mine is stress related, I've got a particularly painful shoulder blade at the moment.

Just watch this, via a link on the shtf thread about a energy saving challenge... might have a go at the old drinks can heating thing.

EDIT.... I have just posted this over on the SHTF...

Just finished watching it, I liked the idea of using a bedside cabinet cupboard to use as a hay box....

We are also going to have a go at the drink can heat thing:D

might be useful in a building where we will be rearing our chicks etc..

Also would this help for extra heat in the greenhouse in the spring?? would there be anyway of retaining the warm air/keep the heat for the evening heat bricks???

CTC where have you been getting your coupons/vouchers from? Most of the things we buy are never on offer as they are so basic however it might be nice to have a few treats :D

Lucielle We could do with a new mattress too so I will be interested to hear how you get on. They are just so expensive and we have so many other pressures on our money at the moment that it will just have to wait.

The weather here is not great at all and it has been pouring down all morning. I finally had a decent sleep and a didn't wake until late which was lovely. Trying to do a bit more every day to get myself back on track and fingers crossed it is going well.

Hubby did a bit more in the nursery and it is starting to look better already. Just need to finish the painting and decide the layout :D

  • Rummer they were ALL the Tesco loyalty points.. have you got a club card?? if so is it registered on line??

If you have got a club card, they send money off, or extra point vouchers approx. every quarter...

If you have let me know what you got in date, that you haven't used, and we can see how to potentially get the max from them... I am a bit rusty, but I'm sure we can work out the best way between us:T

Its itsme not me who has one.

We have a spring with a memory foam top and ended up turning it upside down to just have sprung again. My back had gone from back to crippled and since going back to spring its held up better as if promising to behave so long as I don't do the foam thing to it.

I loved the idea of memory foam proper, ut won't risk it now, but my body IS odd.

I also actually prefer a really soft mattress, whoch is meant to be bad, and DH hates it, so we have a firm one and in winter I sneak duvets underneath us to get a sort of hybrid effect.

In the past we have had two mattresses stacked and because I'm finding it hard to sit up and need more height we are thinking about doing that again now, You need firm ones then, because they are automatically softer when combined IYSWIM.

Lawn mower came too late, just a few minutes before a big down pour.

While rooting around before then I discovered that the japenese wine berry has self layered in two places.

Now if some one wants them and can get them, they are welcome, otherwise they'll goas gate sales.

The vigour is to be warned about. Unless you want a thicket as bad as any blackberry patch they'll need wiring up, as this self layering shows!

lucielle - Our mattresses would be the originals. I think they only did one type when we started buying them.
We initially bought mine because of my pressure problems but we have them on 2 beds now.
Yes, they are pricey but, as you say, you can try them out for 60 days &, if you don't like them, return them.
    We also have Tempur pillows.
