Yes, that would be great Alfie!0

Alfie, I'm a bit late to the party, and haven't read through everything, but if there's lots of trees nearby, is it possible that one of their roots has cracked a pipe?
(This has happened to friends of mine)
...I'm perfectly happy for someone to reply with "no, don't be stupid", or "already been suggested", or "what are you talking about".1. Have you tried to Google the answer?
2. If you were in the other person's shoes, how would you react?
3. Do you want a quick answer or better understanding?0 -

hi WTFH... [now i think i know what that stands for and if it is...i say it daily..:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
the pipes are over 120 years old.. OLD being the word.;)
i am sure the pipes are knackered. and im sure any water that is leaking from the mains pipe is finding its way into these carp pipes ... its just convincing the powers that be [mr prat and bumbling boris] that that is indeed the problem..........:o0 -

You say "wear the fox hat" every day?
It's what I normally say when I'm lost.
It's been my user name (either abbreviated or in full) on several forums over a long time, and is even my handle with Lynn/Sally for traffic reports on Radio 2.1. Have you tried to Google the answer?

My bathroom is teenie tiny when there is nothing in it, not that it was large when full of things :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
All there is in the room is the toilet and some tools and all the old tiles have been ripped off the walls so it looks dreadful but I am one step closer to a toasty bubble bath
Only disconcerting thing is that the plumbers left a couple of hours ago to get essential supplies for the floor and have not returned . I never thought to ask how long they would be and I am now a bit concerned that they will not return today
They have left a lot of tools and things so I would imagine if not today then tomorrow. At least the loo is working although it looks as if a trip to mums for a shower may be in orderTaking responsibility one penny at a time!0 -
Rummer, are you sure 'essential supplies' weren't beer and bacon butties which have now turned into a lengthy break???
Will be so worth it when it is done. One of the things I am most looking forward to when we move is a proper shower instead of one of those thingies on the bath taps.
Don't forget to post piccies of the finished bathroom - although not necessarily including you in the bubble bath:D
It is a good idea to be alone in a garden at dawn or dark so that all its shy presences may haunt you and possess you in a reverie of suspended thought.
