I hope Alfie hasn't got the same amount of rain as we had earlier. That plus her unwanted garden swimming pool could be grim.

I'll have to catch up later as I'm due to be up all night so I/m off to grab an hour or two's sleep.

my fuse is DE fusing ....a bit.:o

basicly.... agent and mr prat arrived.
mr p said he had fixed leak ......i showed agent hole full of water.

mr p said sink drain was broken....i put colored water down sink..nothing in hole.

mr p said "oh well pipes not broken then" :wall:

i showed them a fullish cess pit...
mr p said it was my general water used.... i got them to note that water was running in TO PIT but NO TAPS WERE ON !

looked at swamped garden area around kitchen drain..
    mr p....it rained today !!...
i dug a hole in the "lawn" and it was water still 18" down ...:silenced:
agent said it was just the water table causing that and i asked why now ? bit of a coincidence. and how come its not wet anywhere else ?
mr p staked his life on the fact that NO excess water is getting into the pipework to the cess pit.... this was stood beside dripping pipe into pit
when asked how he found the "leak" he repaired , he replied "intuition".............
when i suggested his "intuition" was not fool proof he did a govermental...no comment.

    conclusion i hear you ask.....

mr p assured agent it just needs the soak away sorted out.

i agreed but asked an utterly stupid question along the lines of "well if you want to just bypass the problem and ignore the possibility of a leak so be it , i will just let the water board know whats happening" he said "there was no need" .....

Mr prat and agent just said they would get a digger in to make soak away...i asked how they will get digger in ? LIR has seen how im surrounded by trees !! i suggested MOLEING it... they said they couldnt possibly as too expensive.

i did add as/if they were getting a digger in they could grade the gravel area outside.. MR PRAT nearly had a fit...

sorry to prattle on but add all the extra's in between the lines that ive omitted and you get the gist...
be interesting to see how long it takes for mr p to act/move/fart/get here at all......

p.s. now who do i know in the waterboard/envoironmental health..:shhh:

Oh Alfie how frustrating! Thank goodness though you had the foresight to have an answer or demonstration for all the scenarios that were suggested. You are a very clever lady ;)

Typical bang your head against a brick wall, eh, alfie?
Is it at all possible for them to get a mini digger in there? The type they use to get along ordinary garden paths & through side gates?

Seems you have only 2 choices. Wait to see if they do anything or drop them in it.

    You now what it's like.
Family suddenly realises it's October. Mad dash to shake the spiders & moths out of the vintage ball gowns & evening suits & check the opera capes are still airworthy.
Cousin Igor sharpening his dental file, while Uncle Vlad throws the dust sheets off the guest rooms at the family pile & checks the vaults are all presentable for visitors. :D

BUT that does remind me to get the Victorian night shirts ready for the antique centre..

What a poo day yesterday, the rain really did come down..

Vintage event at work tomorrow, and we might have a bit of a trade day today ( can get first dabs on things with a min spend) have had a bit of interest, don't know if anyone will turn up.

Thanks Rhiwie for reminding me to get my butt into gear with the bay, every year, I say I am going to list early for the chrimbo rush, and each year its last minute listings:cool:

We have booked another 2 craft events, one in Cardiff in 2 weeks:eek::rotfl: and one in shepton mallet in November.. no pressure:eek::rotfl::p

I might be able to come and meet you in November , but I'm guessing that its when you are less able to take a break for a cuppa with Internet chums?

Rum er, I am a 'cold' person, almost always cold. Last night, long after sun down, I was sitting in the unseated kitchen with the doors open for the doggles.

Then I went on late check and dog widdle at about eleven in just a t shirt nighty and boots. Its very odd.

The mornings seem colder to me, this morning I'm fully wrapped up in clothes and dog dog has her heater on (she's in season and has to be holed up alone a bit, so its nice if she can just sleep through it like a warm and happy cat!)
